I have one. This is the lowest price since 2023. Heavy but gets the job done. Fits under a sports car. Don't forget to buy Jack oil.
You have to be joking. This is so much faster than a car's jack. Not to mention that a scissor jack is nowhere near as safe/sturdy as a floor jack like this. I work on cars a lot, too, and your comment is not the comment of someone who works on cars a lot; at least not the comment of someone who knows what they're doing.
I work on cars maybe once a year and see the value of a floor jack. I got kids and a wife I need to attend to so any time saved is worth money spent, especially if I'm saving a ton on labor.

Using a scissor jack 4x to complete a brake job is a real pain. And lifting a vehicle up from a center point to get the entire front or rear up for jack stands - you can't do that with scissor jacks.

Work smarter, not harder.

I work on cars a lot. I never understood the need for a floor jack. How much longer does it take to use the car's Jack or even a bottle jack, down on your knees, put it under the car and jack up the car? 2 minutes max? Not worth 90 bucks

There's no way that you work on cars alot and prefer to use the car's jack or a bottlenose. What a silly statement.

Will this lift a rav4 off the ground with no issue or will I need to add more support?

Would this low profile still work for an SUV? Like Honda Pilot or Acura MDX?
Overkill, in my opinion. Get this

Why would you suggest the Badlands, an offroad jack, when someone just wants to lift a taller vehicle? What they need is the long-reach jack, which is also on sale for $179.https://www.harborfreight.com/aut...56641.html
What they need is a 4x4 piece of wood to use an an extension.

You must be tinting windows or doing radio installs.

For some reason my 2.5 ton craftsman jack isn't tall enough to lift either an Escape or Equinox rear end high end to remove the tire. Using the block method worked on both with varying results. During one instance the 2 1/2" paving stone block broke in two. This was possibly due to firm and soft ground creating weak points for stability in the paving block. Or it just wasn't thick enough to hold the weight properly. On a different time last week, I used two, side by side, with a gap between, 5" paving blocks to laterally hold the jack without the wheels on the blocks and also an old cedar lumber piece to give grip for the handle 1-2" of the jack. This method worked best and felt safer. Both instances worked to get the job done but 5" blocks seemed best for my situation.
I have an old craftsman "high lift" SUV jack that is fairly small and low enough to get under a small car. It says 6" to 21" high so I could use it under my XJ and WJ Jeeps axles or diffs. I wish that I could buy another one like it. I've been looking for a long time but haven't found it again. I have to assume that they banned the high lift trolley jacks like that one. I still like to use it on my cars.

Note: the high lift jack can lift the back end of our Acura by putting it under the tow hook under the center of the trunk. No bottle neck or block is needed.

Paving stones are not the same as construction block. Bad idea to put a load on one.

Just bought one and did a brake job with it on my Subaru Forester. Had plenty of lift for that and even some to spare. I think you'll be fine as long as your vehicle doesn't have a generous lift.

If you happen to have the old jack stands, even if not recalled, HF decided to take them back under a voluntary recall. They will give you MSRP for the old jack stands. I was able to upgrade during a sale and they also gave me a gift card for the difference. This would be a great time to upgrade to stands with locking pins.
HF recalled their jack stands? ... Guess I'll get some store credit, happy I still have my arms.

Is a harbor freight jack trustworthy? I need a jack but scared of cheaping out on a harbor freight brand jack

They are fine… I have 2 and used them for years. You must use jack stands, never a jack alone..
