Assuming 0.5W is the max usage and it's on 24/7, 4.38 kWh/year; about $0.16/kWh national average that would be $0.70/year to operate max. If you use all 6, $4.20 max/ year

I have Amazon's version that's nearly identical. Couple years in and none have failed.

They're good for elderly people or anyone with reduced night vision. Really does improve hallway safety at night...

... Especially with cats (confused night attack) or children (stray toys).

People test it before and said this thing consumed electricity 24x7, it consumes electricity even light is not on during day time, something you may want to consider.

they are a very bright white (like 5000k). And the lights are very bright.
Too bright for most of my wants. The one in my bedroom I covered the top portion with electrical tape to block all light. On the sides, I used some black cloth tape that blocks about 70% of the light from the sides, and more of the cloth tape on the front part of the bottom. This lets full brightness shine on the floor, a little shines outward, and none upward.
Similar for in our kitchen, I have electrical tape across the top, just not needed (that outlet is about 3 feet off the ground).
It is nice in the bathroom as is, don't need to turn on the light at night midnight potty stops.
Gave 1 to my son to use in his soon to arrive kids room, no idea how it will work for them.

I bought some last time around. They work well and seem to last. And at just $1 per, is it a big gamble anyway? I would not hesitate to buy some again if I were in the market.

What's using the electricity if the light is off?

It sends out the radar to detect the motion continuously.

I always have on of these in my travel bag.

So many hotels have no nightlight in the bathroom and I hate turning on a blinding light at 3am.

They work great for that, and are cheap enough that I don't miss the 2 I've left behind.

Huh? These do not have motion detection, they have a photoelectric sensor.
Never checked mine to see if they draw power when light is off, need to find my Kill a watt.
