Some people measured it and it was consuming around 1W while low light and 1.1W during the day. They just rerouted where current goes instead of cutting it off because it would cost about a cent more to produce it properly.

I have had these for over 3 years and they are amazing for rooms where you need small amounts of light in the dark and don't want to turn on the lights.

Obviously I have one in the bathroom for the middle of the night but also keep one in my cats litterbox room.

I bought this kind of light 8 years ago, and it's still working well.

Whether it's day or night, it turns on automatically when the light is insufficient, and turns off automatically when the light is sufficient.

Is the 0.2 meant to indicate 0.2 watts, even though it says 0.5 in the listing and reports that it uses over 1 watt when not even in use?

Good for hallways, way too bright for a bedroom.

Within a year, these start malfunctioning and turn into strobe lights.

I bought these before, and they ended up in the trash. Granted, you don't move these things often, but they are very cheap and come apart easily. (Then it makes you wonder what other corners were cut.) You get what you pay for. I spent a little more for something more durable.

I like them overall. Not as bright as some people said they are. I love it that you can put two on a outlet. Just an FYI, they start flickering whenever there's an iPhone around it. I tried two different model phones with the same problem when they get close by. No problem with android/ odd.
