Today is my wedding anniversary!!!
Both DH and I forgot until about 5 minutes ago...
My grandma had cancer. Cancer sux
She had bladder cancer a few years ago and had her bladder completely removed. She's been in lots of pain and during the past 6-7 months has been deteriorating right before our eyes. Her back hurts her so badly. The doctor confirmed she has more cancer. There is an operation, but she will not survive it due to her health. Her only option to "prolong her life" is chemo. She refuses. She said she would rather live 1 good year than 5 miserable ones. Her sister took chemo and we went from praying for the lord to spare her life...to praying for him to please take her and save her from the misery.
I'm not saying that chemo is wrong for everyone, but our family had a horrible experience. I talked to her today and she is even refusing the PET scan. That is a scan in which they will inject her with a dye that will make the cancer glow. I wish she would at least do that much, it would give us an idea of what we are working with.
My sister and I are the only grandchildren...and my children are the only great grands.
I could tell something was wrong when she was here for Easter. (she lives in GA) I would catch her staring at the kids. You know what I mean? Like she was soaking up every moment and when they laughed she closed her eyes and smiled...as if to be recording it mentally.
Its so hard to help someone die. That was even hard to type, but everyone has the right to die the way they want to. Its just so very hard for the rest of us to let her go. She seems at peace with it though. Just wanted to vent a bit on here, and remind you guys that every day is borrowed time

Did find out the only day shift jedi I have found isn't working at my store anymore.. Makes me miss vacation.. All the cashier's I found when we were out of town were great. Seems like some stores are overall much friendlier to couponers that others.

So ... after a fairly stressful day yesterday, what with hubby coming out of work to find the van with a flat tire, waiting 2.5 hrs for the tow truck, and then finally getting the guy at the tire shop to fix the hole, we did *not* get to go buy a car, and I did *not* get to go shopping. But ... all systems are go for this evening, so here's hoping!! I haven't been to Target in over a week, and I actually NEED to go, to get stuff for our trip.
Gotta go brew some coffee!!
On a much better note, Baby is doing really good. Gaining like crazy and big brother is a BIG help!

Found a nice $1.50 off milk wyb Cakesters which happen to be BOGO this week there so keep your eyes out my P friends. They are $2.99.
