Had a bad trip at T last night. Well, it was STFC and the supervisor who hates me (who magically appeared from somewhere after the cashier started with my cpns) printed a duplicate receipt (at least I think she did) after I left. I think I am persona non grata there for a long while...well, at least until summer staff gets working
Can someone remind as to why I purchased a bunch of the $5/2 benadryl/visine Qs? I can't for the life of me remember why
I've been using the $5/2 on the 5ct zyrtec. There is a $2 target q on OGD
$5.29x2 = $10.58 - $5 - $2 - $ 2 = $1.58 for 10ct. My father-in-law takes zyrtec and I've been able to stock up for him. HTH!

I'm thinking Wags for the benadryl - or the b3g free first aid bag at T? I think WM has some kind of benadryl stuff for around $2.XX also - so maybe it would work there.

Hey guys I have a question - is there anywhere that explains the coupon redemtion process to a store manager? I mean ... I had a converstaion with a manager who told me that if the stores sells a product for $2.50 (that is what it rings up as) and they accept a coupon for $3.00 then the store will lose the .50 because the manufacturer will only reimburse them for the amount that the items rings up. How would the manufacturer know what the item rang up as ... I thought all the coupons were shipped to a sorting house. (Does Target sort them first? Do they match them with receipts to show what the cost of the item is at that time? Or are they all just dumped in a box for shipping?)
I think it is fine to adjust down - no problem ... but I am just wondering how we know whether they are reimbursed for coupon amount or purchase price?

Did you try pointing out that the coupon (or at least, most the one's I've read so far) say:
"Retailer: So and So corp will reimburse you the FACE VALUE plus .08 handling"
I did a quick websearch for coupon redemption policy, and I found several familiar corps with their posted policies. So far, they all pretty much say the same thing under policy for payment and denials - the retailer is reimbursed FACE VALUE of the coupon + .08 handling + postage (which I would've thought was included in the handling, but apparently not...) The only time they care about what the retail price happens to be is in the instance of a free coupon that has a limited price point (i.e. free up to $3.00).

GRR... here's a place [nchmarketing.com]with a bunch of the manufacturer coupon redemption links already done for ya!
It *may be* helpful (maybe...) to print out several well known retailers (conAgra, Kimberly Clark, Unilever, Glaxo) or at least the ones that you were trying to use, highlight that area, and show them that they all are pretty close to word-for-word on they policy for payment. Also, most (if not all - I didn't read each one all the way) state that the "proof" the retailer needs is "evidence of proof of purchase to show that sufficient stock was purchased to justify the number of coupons submitted..."
Now, unless your manager is just hard headed and/or can't read English properly - then I don't think there is any way they can really justify lowering the face value of the coupon for YOU the consumer while they will receive the full face value back from the manufacturer - at least not from the "manufacturer won't pay us" excuse - cuz that's not what the policies say!
*Ya'll may also want to note that all these policies (under "Redemption at the store") say that "Only one coupon will be honored for each item purchased." Maybe that would help with the whole "one per transaction" problem some of ya'll have been getting.

Is there a coupon for heinz ketchup? So far, all I've seen is the Heinz 57 sauce coupon - but I have been apparently not reading things well lately!
Do you know what kind of contortions at pregnant woman can get into just to reach into the box of golden oreo cakesters on the shelf behind the tower of rubbermaids that her DH conveniently placed in front of the aforementioned shelves??
How much sugar do ya'll go through in a month? I think we are going through at least 2 - 3 4lb bags, and that just feels like a lot to me. We don't do a lot of koolaid - and when I do I only put in 1/2 cup of sugar instead of the full cup. Now, i have been making a lot of sweet tea - so maybe that's were a lot of it goes. Also, use it for baking/bread making - but even that doesn't seem to be excessive lately. We drink coffee too. Dunno. It just doesn't seem to go far. Every time I turn around, seems like we are out of sugar!
Now, I can sub honey and molasses for a lot of baking/bread making, honey for hot tea (haven't tried for sweet tea), and I can do without for coffee if I have to or use brown sugar (which I hate to do cuz I use that for baking and oatmeal) - but what other alternative is there when you don't use splenda/equal, etc...? Has anyone tried growing and using Stevia?
Hmm... I think I may have to either be zoned in and running through the store and do a couple of big runs, or make a lot of tiny trips. I keep wearing myself out too quickly.

I am sorry - that is so sad!!! On the other note I hope it sticks ... sometimes even for the folks in those relationships it doesn't become clear how much danger there is EVEN when they are sitting in the hospital getting patched up ..........
I wonder how often the stores dispute the manufacturer's refusal to pay. It seems it would be easy for the manu to just refuse to pay, and then the stores roll over and suck up the damage because they don't want to go through the hassle of arguing or proving they were on the right side - which then probably makes them want to blame the couponers because it is a hassle for them.
And I totally know what you mean about folks staying stuck in a bad situation. I just hope that DH and I have modeled a good relationship, good friend finding/building skills, AND impressed upon her how not to bind her heart to folks/guys before discovering their true character and personality. I hope we are equipping her with good discernment skills and not just a list of do's and don't's!! Can't keep 'em from all their mistakes, but hopefully we can keep them from making some of the biggies or dangerous ones.
