Ziplocs are on TPC this week through 6/19 Cool Also, Electrasol is TPC for $3.50. Decent price if you have MQs.
Oooohhh... thanks for the TPC info. I found that I *love* the electrasol for our dishwasher - it's the only brand I've tried that really cleans all the dishes well and leaves the glasses without spots!

Quote from whimseys :
I love that! I wish my kids were still sweet like that. My 6 year old just mumbled that I was an a-hole because I told him he couldn't take a brownie to bed! EEK! You should have seen how fast I flew up those stairs!

_______________

One question - was everyone's "free" first aid bag empty? Seems $4.69 was kind of high for it. Confused
Oh my... I think we'd be holding a funeral today! I guess I should love the sweet moments as much as possible now, eh??

I haven't done the bag thing this time around (I did last time), but yeah - I would *never* "pay" for it. $4.XX for an empty zip bag??? Someone was smokin' sumpin...

Survey question: I'm hesitant to buy the Pieces candy B2G1 because one of my guys in the lab doesn't like coconut, one doesn't like Mint, and one doesn't like peanut butter EEK! and there's only 6 guys in the lab. That leaves the dark chocolate one? They LOVE plain chocolate M&Ms (not peanut, not almond, not pretzel though) but I don't know if they would go for dark chocolate or not.
Do you like them?
I only like the dark M&M's when baked in cookies/brownies (and even then...)

Went on a "date" with my 3yo daughter, with the purpose of hunting down coupons. Was only mildly successful - found 5 of the .25 papers that had the P&G insert. Considering I stopped at probably close to 15 locations, and only came up with that many, I'm kinda disappointed. But me and Lillian had fun, which was the point anyway. We ended it with a snack-size McFlurry with M&Ms which thrilled her to no end. I'm a cool mommy now. Big Grin
*laugh* Sounds cute! And yay for being a cool mommy now!

Quote from skynsam :
There were signs by registers at the T I went to yesterday that had 2 low value TQs on it and a X/XX that were fraudulent. Farkers.
Wow... cuz good deals with current TQ's are soooo darn hard to come by, eh?? Sheesh.

Luckily I was able to catch a few of the coupon clippers early when they'd listed and their prices were low and their limits were nonexistentBig Grin Where do people who get their inserts free get them anyway?? Do they actually buy them?? I've heard some people say that they can find .25-.99 papers......I sure haven't found anything like that here!

I have a deal with a paper guy. He gives me extra papers, and I buy him HBA at Wags and Target and sometimes his special treat (Lipton Diet Citrus Tea in the individual bottles). Sometimes, it's bounce 40 inserts. Sometimes, it's Sadwalk 6 (like this week). It does mean I drive over to meet him each and every Sunday afternoon though (26 miles one way).

I don't sell them, but trade them with 2 or 3 SDers and cut for my SIL. My issue is what do you do with the masses of papers each and every week? Organization is NOT my middle name.

Stack 'em in a box?? That's about as far as it would likely go for me!

Truth be told, they'd probably pile up on my freezer/desk until DH started to make cleaning up noises, and since DH is of the "when in doubt throw it out" mindset - well... I'd *have* to organize it.

I think that's how I "lost" my very good kodak digi cam and my PDA shortly after we were married!! I think they got swept up into a trash bag and tossed with some piles of papers. Sadwalk

Asking for job Pray

My old company that I have been laid for from for over 16 months IS calling back people.
I heard from a friend that my just started my month: June 1998.
It is a union compnay so those people who have the highest senority are called back first, HR works their way down the list. Therefore there is no jumping out of order. Higher senority people get first option. Take the temporary job or pass to the next person on the list.

I am near the end of June. If I get called back. Health insurance on the first day back. Awesome, Pay is more than both part time jobs. Should start at a min. of 15/hr. Plus loads of overtime.

Hours...I am guessing third shift. This division was only running two shifts before. I think it was First and third. I guess any good paying job I cannot worry about shift. Just when can I start. Smilie

I cannot make it to the union hall until next week to see were I am at on this call back.
I am so excited that I have a chance. I will be praying all day. Just to think I was so  that the casino just took one day away from me.

Chat later.

Today is new cell phone day. Big Grin and a lunch date.bounce

Wow... sounds like an all around great day! hug Lots of Pray for you and your old job potential!!!

And hey, third shift means you get to shop during normal retail hours - right?? Smilie

TN - cute post. LOL. In spite of how useful our stockpile is, DH would freak if our house approached Hoarders status. LOL DD wants a 3 bedroom place so she can have her own room. laugh out loud I want a 3 BR place so I can use the "extra" room to store stuff in! Right now, all my stockpile is in our 1st floor 1/2 bath - which would be VERY convenient to have access too at this stage of pregnancy.

In the last 6-10 months, our local county papers have started carrying inserts. These are the weekly papers and usually come out on Wednesdays. One has the inserts a week ahead, and the other has them a week behind. Always confuses me which is which. Anyway, you might want to check your county papers, and even see if there's a Spanish paper. Supposedly our local Spanish paper, which is free, has the inserts, but I can never find the stinkin' paper. Boxes are always empty when I get to them.

That is a pretty sweet deal. And I hear you on the organization thing. I so lack creativity in that area. Always been a struggle of mine!

Kopenny, this is GREAT news!! Praying that they will call you back and you will be able to cut back on some of the long hours you have been having to work....keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you hug

what to do with papers.....the actual newspapers get recycled.
The inserts go whole into hanging file folders labeled by month. When I get to the next month in line, I throw the prior years out into the recycle bin. it's easier for me that way. When I need a paper from say January SS, I just have to go to the january file to find it. Other q's like tearpads and peelies and q's I've ordered...keeping them organized is another story Roll

this is one of my biggest problems! I have envies everywhere. Frown

I'm thinking shoe box...

And speaking of tearpads - I found:

more "get a free childrens book wyb 2 colgate-palmolive product" tearpad (now I need a deal on toothpaste - wags???)
5 35000 99282 1 exp 7/30/2010
They were on a colgate clinical display at my local Kroger's - so be on the lookout for them.

I also found a tearpad for:
Save $2.00 on any Garnier Nutrisse Shade or Multi Lights kit
5 03084 11182 7 exp 6/30/2010

And also a blinkie for 1.00/1 Smart Balance peanut butter - not free for us, but i like their brand and if I *have* to pay for peanut butter, I'll get that. Need to see if T carries it and what they charge. It was 2.79 at my grocery - hoping it's a little cheaper at t.

Yup it is me!! They are quoting thousands! THANK YOU - I will look and see if they are available here and whether the dentist who has seen me will accept them. So far I have only located ONE - you read that right - ONE dental plan for individuals in this state. Other companies offer individual plans but not in Wisconsin. The one plan that is available costs about $50 a month for an individual and covers 80% of cleanings/x-rays & simple fillings ... 50% of root canals, gum something-or-other, and crowns (up to $1000 per calendar year.) That $1000 includes all work - not just the root canals. However - you must also have been a premium paying holder of this insurance for a FULL calendar year before you can have any work done (other than cleaning/x-rays.) So I might get it but at least 1 of these root canals will not wait. Sigh. I will check into this plan you suggested - THANK YOU again!!!!
i don't know why slickdeals doesn't direct you to the homepage of www.dentalplans.com

it goes to the search page of one plan.

you should go to the home page and then put in your zip code to see what plans are available. my town is classified semi-rural, although i actually live in the northeast megalopolis, and there are 25 plans so i'm hoping there are plans available for you. these aren't insurance plans. they are *savings plans*. i saw my dentist is a participant of six of them. i think she gets reimbursed so little by insurance that i think they have formed these plans that charge at the rate she gets reimbursed at and the annual fee is for admin and processing.

That system sounds like something I could keep up with. I've also toyed with the idea of a big binder to keep all clipped Qs in (that way, when I need one, I just look it up in the binder, and its already clipped, instead of having to clip one Q at a time from my stacks of inserts) and then little individual coupon organizers for each store. Since my Target coupons rarely get used at , say, Safeway, etc. Guess I just need to pick a system and go with it!

And I agree on the recycling. I gather all mine together and drive to the local high school. They have huge recycling dumpsters to dump paper and other recyclable items. And if I just happen to see an insert or two inside while I'm dumping mine ... well, even better! Its still recycling, right?? Big Grin

OK, so I am thinking about starting Rite Aid. Anyone shop there regularly that can point me to a helpful thread, or want to give me some basics? I read the current weeks thread, and all the talk about wellness and +UP stuff is really confusing. Not sure what it means. Help!!! Smilie
