LMAO That's what I should have done. Instead I had him put it on a gift card and I left the store while still on the phone with customer service.

I was fairly certain what the policy is supposed to be but like with a lot of things, some dictators in stores think they can make their own policy. Like lining up your items and matching the coupons with them before even ringing anything up. Doesn't bother me if I only have a few coupons and items, or if they have adequate reading comprehension skills.

I asked why he didn't just exchange the PullUps and was given a snotty look. Him and the snippy GSTL that was helping him.
I don't get why they didn't just exchange them eitherConfused Sometimes I think these employees enjoy making everyone's lives more difficult, including theirs, just for the sake of not appearing to be 'wrong.'

Anyone have any flavor recommendations for the Sobe Lifewater?? Believe it or not I've never done this deal - it always seems like I have too many other deals I'm trying to partake in at the time. Thought I'd try it this time around. What does it taste like?? Just lightly flavored water??

The favorite Sobe around here is Black & Blue Berry. The Fuji Apple Pear is second runner up.

eta How do you handle people that criticize your stockpile? An acquintance was at my house Sunday, I watched her son while she did some errands. When she came back, I offered her some of my 8 yr old son's outgrown clothing (I can imagine how hard it is to be a single mom). After giving her 3 bags of clothing, including 20 pairs of Gymboree pants and shorts (some with tags still on them), more than 10 shirts etc, she commented that I need to have someone from "one of those TV shows" clean up my basement, and donate all that stuff to Goodwill etc. Excuse the heck out of me. I donate 100s of lbs of food to the food bank every year, an equal amount of stuff to the domestic violence shelter, boxes of new toys to Toys for Tots, as well as finding people I meet that could use some help, and give them the gently used kids clothing that in the past I would have sold on eBay. To be told I needed one of those clutter experts to "help" me. I wasn't expecting that.

I had invited her and her son to go to the movies with us this weekend. She would have to buy her own ticket but the child's ticket and part of concessions are paid courtesy of Kellogg's and Disney. Is it wrong for me to feel hurt by the comments? I surely wouldn't go into someone's home and criticize them for anything.

hug Thanks, I was wondering if I was too sensitive. I know some people out there think stockpilers in general are crazy, whether we have a small stockpile or a nuclear shelter's worth. LMAO

It's kind of like going up to someone in a grocery store and commenting on their weight.

I think people who say that kind of stuff just don't have a lot of tact....not to mention making lots of assumptions that aren't necessarily true. I don't think you are too sensitive!! Doesn't change the fact that it still kind of stings...it usually helps me to consider the source. I have so many friends/relatives who would rather just go to the most expensive grocery in town each week and walk out spending a fortune on a cart of food....I think they're the ones that are crazy!!Smilie

Ugh. Head Bang

Went to my used to be favorite T. Took my last SB GC toupon with me. Spent almost an hour rounding up a cart full. Went up to the register and was informed that the bottle with the sprayer top was neither a starter kit nor the extend-a-clean. So I said, "Seriosly? I've bought this exact same thing using this exact same coupon in this very store several times." So dingbat goes and asks another cashier. Ugh. She said she wouldn't take it. So I told her to have a nice day putting all my stuff back on the shelves. Went to another T. They were out of SB. Mad But I found a Jedi and used other coupons to make that $5 Cool. I'm considering writing them a letter. Why would the company spend that much money putting out those $5 SB GC coupons, nationwide no less, and then not honor them?

I doubt your stockpile prevents you from having a normal life like those people on TV. If you're not walking in pathways, blocking windows/doors there probably isn't a problem. I think she's jealous and ungrateful; not to mention downright rude. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) We have a few family memebers who pay full price for everything. They make nearly twice what we do in their household. Yet amazingly we have more spending money because I use coupons/sales etc.

Thanks. And, for clarification, while I'm definitely not a neatfreak, I admit I'm a clutterbug in some ways, the comments were about the living room, kitchen, or even the toy room. She was talking about my unfinished basement, which is just my laundry room and storage area. Didn't realize that the boxes and bins had to meet some neatness standard. Wink

I don't get that attitude either. I know it's been talked about here before that people would rather not use coupons because they feel it's beneath them. Hey that's more money I can use for other fun things for my family.

I often wonder that about many Target coupons. as well as the "price guarantee" that seldom matches any price.laugh out loud

I also agree that sometimes people make snide comments because they are jealous, not to mention uninformed. I don't think they realize just how much savings can be had by clipping coupons and shopping sales.

LOVE the Apple Pear Sobe, yummy!

I am sorry your friend said something so rude and insensitive to you. I really think a lot of people are jealous of us from cashiers to managers to friends and family members. It takes brains to do what we do. She probably just wished she had the stockpile you had. I wouldn't let it bother you, I know easier said than done.

Had my first horrible run at T today.

Went to use my sb $5gc q's and was told only 1 per transaction was allowed. Tried to read the coupon to them and tell them their own policy but was shut down by gstl and told that is there policy and so be it. Then he went through my bags and told me that they limit to family size quantities. I was buying 8, which is a lot for some people but not my house, but don't start making things up and pull shit out your ass because I am standing my ground.

Finally said that I would do 8 sep transactions after snide remarks. The person checking me out ended up doing them all on one transaction and guess what, they all scanned no beeps.

Came home flaming, mad not gay, and called corporate who were more than helpful giving me a $10 gc for my trouble. I told the lady that I have 3 bathrooms and that product only lasts for one cleaning in my house! God knows I wouldn't actually spend money on this product with how much I have to use but hey when I am making money I'll clean with q-tips if they are free!

People keep posting about that same problem.

The picture is right there on the coupons.

Ask them, if it's not the starter kit, why does it have refills?
