funk funk go away come again some other day - I must go & get cereal at Tar-jay .... sigh

I was thinking about what DS7 said ----- is shopping at Kmart worth driving about 90 - 110 minutes each way (so over 3 hours round trip?) Are the deals good enough that y'all would do that?
Not for me. The coupon hating cashier's at the K near me spent 20 minutes examining the $4 off PH peelies trying to find a reason to deny the coupon but there is none.

Same problem here the coupon is even smaller than the 6pp were, it's tiny.

I totally agree with MOT2 on that one. I doubt I'd drive 3 hours to do K. Maybe if you have more than one store, and there are coupon loving jedis there. My Ks used to be ok, but now are the absolute worst about Qs! In many ways K is very opposite T (I used to call it Bizarro Target Teehee)

I just have to vent... I totally cannot find my point and shoot camera Mad

Now I'm not the most organized of people Embarrassment so when I first couldn't find it, I figured it would turn up, but I've been looking for it for the past 2 weeks and I just can't find it. I hate to give up and get a new one (although I know that will be what results in my old one being found). I do have a DSLR, but it just doesn't work for those quick shots. Facepalm Sadwalk

Wow...

I think part of the reason that I *rarely* return something is that my mother was a constant returner. She's definitely addicted to shopping, and she used to then do a zillion returns (often using us kids to run in and get it done), but I think she's now graduated to hoarder status.

I think it's funny that they say Target has a lenient return policy and then show the sign that says you have to have a receipt and it be within 90 days. I don't think that's really lenient. Lenient would be accepting any return, any time, with out a receipt. Most places limit returns without receipts, and most also take ID, etc...

What?? The Today show not be completely clear or give the whole picture??? Say it isn't so!! [/sarcasm]

Seriously, though... it is annoying. It makes you wonder if every person thinks you are some scammer.

I do hate to hear/see when a couponer returns things. There *are* legit returns on coupon items, I'm sure, and there have been 2 times in my early days that I returned a couple of things because I overdid it and spent too much - and even within this past year I spent too much by going a little overboard (but didn't return because I just couldn't bring myself to do it). I figure that it's part of being responsible with your couponing and spending and learning some hard lessons. But the folks that abuse it are utterly disgusting and frustrating
I agree with you - I've never done a return w/coupons unless a lot of them were denied and even then it was few and far between (I'd say 5 ever). And I only return up to the amount that I paid - never below what I actually paid out.

That's why I thought it was irritating that they cover a piece without shedding any actual light on it. They made it sound like returning anything was a crime or a disease. Confused

Sorry you are feelin' funky.

No, it's almost never worth driving that far unless you really need more BW and Deo. laugh out loud Maybe if it was a Super K and you have a bunch of grocery high value $1/$2 and BOGO q's then maybe. Or if you were hitting other stores then it'd be def. worth the trip but T and Wags are in the crapper right now. Do you CVS? I don't very much (it's a PITA to use those ECB's when you don't live close) but there's some deals there this week.

I am in a shopping funk. I have absolutely no desire to use a coupon or get in on a deal. I can't even bring myself to go do the Kellogg's deal. Isn't that bad? Embarrassment
I am right there with you. I keep telling myself: "self, you should go to Target and get some cereal"..but then I remember...everytime I buy cereal it goes stale before it gets used. It's hot and I dont really want to shop. Maybe this weekend.

I did however catch an upgraded clearance on Kohls today and bought much too much stuff.

Dia, hope you are feeling better. Hate being in funks.

Teehee I won't drive 15 minutes for K. Not worth my time lately.

FINALLY got to T to buy some cereal. I totally thought there would be none left since everyone is so damn chatty over in deals about it. Thanks sunshine for the TS3 Qs, I was able to use those for some little presents for DS's upcoming birthday.

You're welcome.

Guess what I did tonight? Decided to run into Target (I know I said I had no desire) but Brielle wanted the stickers for the Toy Story Book and they don't have them at the ST near me. So anyway, when we left the gym we went to the reg T near there.

Have you ever thought you were in the "trainee" line but were in the "trainer" line?

Yep, brilliant one here, the end.

Oh my. We have eaten like kings today. Southern fried catfish and cheddar bay biscuits for dinner, and Paula Deen's recipe for snickerdoodles for dessert. yummy So delish. Her recipe is NOT health-conscious, however - ONE CUP of shortening. But oh is it yummy!!!

Well... pffft...

too much yummy food talk for this pregnant lady!!

But, I do have garden fresh tomatoes (which I've almost consumed 1/2 of already) and a ton of cukes!!! I love when folks bring in garden produce to church and say "here, take this..." heart drool

I ran out of time to go to Kmart, so I didn't do that today - but I may have a 2nd opp tomorrow. We'll see...

Didn't do T - organized some q's. But, I plan on doing 2 T runs tomorrow (maybe... and it's a huge maybe... I can fit in a 3rd...) I'm afraid I'm going to go early, so I am in "shop now" mode! *laugh* The great thing about the new Target is that I will have smaller and more concentrated runs! Hopefully it'll make it faster to shop. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Jealous of all the 50/75% off baby items. Ours is stuck at 15% because folks are like piranha for 15% off. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Even when I didn't coupon, I knew that things go lower on clearance if you wait. Grrr... I soooooooooo so sooooo want a pack n play! Good thing is that there are a TON of car seats and boosters still, so I think that I will keep holding out for that. I have the infant car seat, but I'd like to get a bigger one for when baby is out of the infant carrier. I guess I've got a while for that, so I'll just have to hang in there and not worry if I miss any clearance this round.

Yes, mommy, I did. Big Grin But only the Up+Up brand, because I had left my TQs for the Charmin (or is it Cottonelle?) at home, and I just could not bring myself to buy it without those Qs. Embarrassment So that will be another trip. I think I have enough Qs to do the K deal one more time. Are we sick of hearing about that or what?? Seems like that's all anyone is buying. Kelloggs' stock better go up at least a little bit, after all this inventory gets moved so quickly!! laugh out loud

Sorry, ank - I am not a great cook, and so when something turns out so tasty, I just have to share. hug I'll go eat a snickerdoodle for you, 'k? ... Big Grin

How well I remember my summer pregnancy. Not fun at all. You have my deepest sympathies, dear. After having my firstborn in August, I swore I would never again be pregnant through the summer like that. So hugs to you, my friend, and may your T trips tomorrow be more successful than you dreamed!! hug
