As someone who usually keeps their laptop plugged in, is this 7435 a dealbreaker? I know there are reviews regarding battery life. If battery life wasn't a concern, is this still a great deal.

This is a good laptop. But it seems that's it doesn't have an integrated graphics card. Meaning it most likely needs to be plugged in. It's a great desktop replacement or just be aware it needs to be plugged in.

"Ryzen 7 7435HS - laptop processor produced by Amd for socket FP7 that has 8 cores and 16 threads. The base clock frequency of the CPU is 3100 MHz, but due to Turbo Core technology, it can perform up to 4500 MHz. The size of the L3 cache is 16 MB. Please note that this chip doesn't have integrated graphics."

Worth noting this comes with an eBay 2y warranty via Allstate. I believe this is the same model that was $900 at microcenter a few months back. It's now $1070 at microcenter if you have one near you and prefer new.

As other poster noted, no igpu, but a reply from Lenovo on microcenter reviews has some settings to be more battery optimized when not plugged in.

GPU performance taps out well before it reaches its watt limit. some people think its software limited.
