my guess? at minimum 2 more years.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received similar awards, released in 2015 on Steam and it didn't hit $12 till 2019 and $8 in 2021.
Honestly one of the best games out there with a ton of replayability. You can tell the devs put a lot of heart and soul into the game and has released numerous updates. Next to RDR2. It's one of the few games I'd recommend even at full price

People waiting for this gem of a game to go to $9.99 are ridiculous lmao.
I understand wanting to save a buck, but choosing to be a cheapskate even when the product is very much worth the price is nuts.
Most people watching for steam sales have such a huge backlog of sub $10 games they haven't played yet this will hit $10 by the time they would actually get around to playing it even if they paid this price today.

There's no other game like this really at any price point.
Turn based tactical combat with lots of story options tons of high quality voice over work and good graphics. Probably the last real attempt in this category was the first Dragon Age.
Don't expect deep price cuts until there's some real competition.
10 hrs into the game and i still dont know wth im doing -- too much of a time sink and i had to get bunch of mods to make it more player friendly - game is not for me wish i could get a refund
I got to beginning of act 3 on xbox. I would like to finish on steam deck but don't feel like double dipping at $40. I will probably never finish it. I feel like the first two acts were enough really.
I had this game wishlisted for a while now and finally picked it up so that I can play it on my Steam deck. Hopefully the reported slowdowns on act 3 are tolerable.

I played Baldurs Gate 2 a ton back in 2000s where it was like a 5 disc set and even I had a bunch of trouble understanding the mechanics in BG3. There's so many options available to complete every quest and fight that it took me a good 20+ hours before I even begun to understand the basics and item stats. It's not a game you just jump into. It takes a lot of patience and research to get a good understanding of how the game is played but it's worth it once you do. Now I'm probably 200 hours in and it's amazing once you understand and realize the endless possibilities available

I was about to buy Baldur's Gate 3, but then saw RDR2 was on sale for $15 and playable on the Steam Deck. Been hearing how amazing RDR2 is for years, and now I finally get to find out for myself.
