Having worked at 3M I decided to go look at the product, to be honest, watch the 1 minute video, if you catch a stray rock in a tail light (or like me trip while climbing off of your dumpster and crack your tail light with your palm while trying not to eat sh*t) this product could save you for a good long while. Tail light enclosures are quite expensive, and I thought this was tape, but its not, its like an adhesive lens, 7 bucks vs $80 isn't bad for saving your bulb housing from filling up with rain!

IMO, if you are considering this your car is not fancy and most likely tail light assembly is actually cheap. Removing tail light on most of the econobox cars is simple, you might not even need a screwdriver

Got an older vehicle that something fell in the garage and broke the lens. Parts for it are nearly impossible to find and usually very expensive IF you can find them.
