Also Greenworks mowers all use plastic gears from the lowend to the very highest end mowers with no available replacements if broken. This seems like a step backwards for parts made to exert torque.
Also if you try to claim warranty for mowers they make you pay shipping back to their factories. You can just return to costco here but the same mower from greenworks costs $399 or less when on sale so you are paying for that privilege anyways.

This is just a cost cutting measure to keep the price the same over the years, by giving you less than before. Number of items in the box are the same, but different battery sizes. A normal consumer probably wouldn't know there is a difference.

Picking one up today to replace my old Honda gas mower. It will be very nice not to have to deal with gasoline and oil changes anymore. Plus it will take up less space in my garage since it can be stored vertically.

So do electric mowers in a similar price range from other companies (Ego, Makita, etc.) have non-plastic gears?
