For those wondering, this is in the Dreamcast/N64/PSP performance class.
This isn't really a great deal at all. This unit has been at this price range on average. I noticed this store is purposely bumping up the price to make you think $15 off is a deal. For example their TrimUi Brick is over priced as well compared to other stores. Still decent for whoever wants it, but just wanted everyone to know that the TrimUi Brick has a MUCH more premium build and feel with same performance. The Brick's software performance is probably better due to all the amazing new OS' that recently launched for this beautiful unit. The two don't feel like they're made from the same company, but they are.
This is probably the best price you'll be able to get, for a long time. Basically, any deal on Aliexpress is actually an awesome deal, looking at the future.

On top of the major tariff headlines, many people may have missed the datail about the "De Minimis" exemption which applies to all purchases from Aliexpress - now ending in a few weeks. I'm sure Aliexpress will find a way to reduce the cost from this (US distribution warehouses, other supply chain adjustments?), but the fee is $25 minimum per item! Whatever you're thinking about buying on this site should be purchased ASAP. You may not be able to get these prices again after this month. Take advantage while you can, IMO.

Anbernic, Powkiddy, and Miyoo are all running various promotions also, and coupon codes are available. You can use "newusoff10" for $10 off on orders over $40, just use a new email address. There is also a $6 off $59 coupon. Basically, you can get any of these handhelds for around $50 right now. Just make sure you're buying from a reputable seller. (none of these codes will stack with the Trimui deal, it has a better coupon)

If you're new to this (as I was a few months ago) I recommend checking out "Retro Game Corps". He has really great videos on Youtube, and a website with written guides and reviews. A serious wealth of knowledge. Seems to be unbiased in general, not a paid sponsor. His review on this one:

I thought I would post a more quantitative comparison of handheld capabilities. Looking at the chart, on the left is the capability of the TrimUI Smart Pro. On the right is the capability of the recently posted R36H handheld. Not sure how much that 27% less 'horsepower' number will impact playability of some of the games that are on the verge of playability.... Anyone?
This will play ports better and quite a bit more n64 than the r36h. It doesn't get you into another tier of gaming but it's better within the same tier. Think another 20-30% of n64 titles, plus better buttons, and wifi which opens you up to portmaster and retro achievements.

According to the CPU Mark comparison, it would seem to be indicating that the TrimUI has about 1/4 LOWER processing power. (with the lower score of 668 for the TrimUI vs 992 for the R36H) Wouldn't this then mean that the R36H (Rockchip) would be the one that would be able to play more N64, Playstation and Dreamcast games?

All the folks saying this isn't a great deal blah blah don't really know what they're talking about it. Yes, these have been cheaper before, I think the all-time lows for most of these handheld has already come and gone. Everyone over in the subreddit is well aware of that, and even moreso aware that with the new tariffs, this is kind of your last chance to get most of these. There's a guy that has a spreadsheet keeping track of the lowest current price of each handheld and this is actually lower than the price found for this device, thanks to that $15 off code, which I haven't tested yet.

This isn't really true. I have this, and it struggles with PSP games like God of War. Some of the lighter PSP games are ok, but not the better ones. It also struggles with arcade games beyond early 2000 ones. Not even 3d game, but like some of the early 2000 vertical shooter that are bullet bells. Overall it's good for everything up to the late 90s, and worth the $50. But don't expect much more than that.
Also, like many, I put in a lot of time loading roms and changing settings, but really didn't play it after the first week. I guess most people love the nostalgia than actually the games themselves.

I just got a Retroid Pocket 5 from Ali, but after a few days its not usable for a dude with big hands. Its just extremely uncomfortable to hold in any shape or manner....

I think I have to try a vertical form factor next, unless someone has better suggestions. The Retroid which emulates great is getting returned.

Ordering anything from AliExpress right now will result in a tariff of $25 or 30%, whichever is the greatest. That is in addition to any sales tax.

It's an ok device for PS1 and below, I have it and run on custom firmware, struggle on PSP, N64. Dreamcast, PS1, SNES, NES, GBA, NDS, neogeo and Capcom emulator works great.

How does this compare to the legion go
It doesn't. The Legion Go is a Windows/Linux computer that costs 10x as much. This is a low powered Android device for reliable retro gaming up to PS1, with some limited titles above that working also.

I think this only applies from certain items from other counties. This is being ordered from USA so no tariff on existing domestic supply.

That may be the case right now, sure but with the person seemingly in charge of all this changing his mind 3-4 times a day/week, this is basically a roll of the dice.

Lots of people on the Aliexpress subreddit have reported their packages being stuck in eternal limbo at customs from the tariff shuffle done last month. Others ordered packages before/after these dates and they made it through without issue. The problem is that the date you place your order doesn't matter, it's just about the timing of when it arrives to US customs.

Edit: on second read - you are correct. These shouldn't need to go through customs since it's shipping within the US already. I guess at this point it's the same as buying 80% of what's offered on Amazon these days.

Similar performance to the Miyoo Mini?
