I'd recommend it for sure. Does it eliminate the problem? No, but it reduces the problem for sure. Make sure to buy 3rd party refills, they're much more affordable.

I don't know if its because I don't have much bugs to begin with but it functions as a nightlight for us more than a bug catcher. Got maybe 2 gnats in the whole time.
