Just one OS update left. 3 OS updates promised; it launched with Android 13, now on 15.

Source: I got one for free after trade-in through the Spectrum Mobile deal last year. Would not pay $300, especially a year later.

I had similar text shown for a different phone but they did not charge restocking fee for open box items and Best buy associate confirmed it.

If you have a premium credit card there might be return protection. Think amex platinum does.

It is clearly showing up as a PS note on the checkout screen while trying to buy open box excellent. That's how I got to know.

So you returned it and they didn't charge you a restocking fee? I don't trust BB as far as I can throw them

Very tempting, but the dude above who said one more OS update only is deterring me. I'm On a oneplus I got in fall 2020. Just stopped getting updates six months ago so I think I'll just get another one plus, phone treated me well

Not so sure that buyer/return protection eliminates restocking fees? Is that a fact or just an assumption? Just curious?

I've never been charged restocking fees on 'opened box' items including phones.
