Source: I got one for free after trade-in through the Spectrum Mobile deal last year. Would not pay $300, especially a year later.

I had similar text shown for a different phone but they did not charge restocking fee for open box items and Best buy associate confirmed it.

Very tempting, but the dude above who said one more OS update only is deterring me. I'm On a oneplus I got in fall 2020. Just stopped getting updates six months ago so I think I'll just get another one plus, phone treated me well

Are you on Spectrum Mobile? If so, have you tried different phones on their service. They gave me a free year of unlimited service and I need another phone for the sim they sent. Everything I've researched is that even though they are on Verizon towers, they are only compatable with certain phones.

I've never been charged restocking fees on 'opened box' items including phones.
