These are the LG pouches. They are 48v style arrangements. Then they buck the voltage up to 400v. This method isn't used anymore in the industry for residential. Most are switching to just the 48v straight to the inverter. As well as switching to lipo4. If you have no cell failures the lifepo4s will last longer for time of use load shedding. If you just doing backup shouldn't really make a difference

Eco worthy's prices are sure tempting, but it only offers a 1 year warranty which concerns me. At least LG offers a 10 year warranty like most other battery manufacturers.

No. They're not blow-up-y. They're burn-y-down-the-house-y. Or the car. My car is under buyback with LG batteries. They never truly managed to fix the folding tab and other issues. They just pumped out a billion cells that could go up in flames.

Look up Will prowse on youtube. I would go with an EG4 inverter if I was going from scratch right now. Cheapest option for batteries is server batteries especially the ECO worthy brand, same with their battery bank right now. If I wanted cheap panels I would buy by the pallet used panels from Santan solar and save 60-70% off the cost for panels that will still be good for 10+ years.

Everything I see on their manuals say this is one of the few they actually support. I am going to get an energy hub on eBay, looks like it's basically the same as the rebranded home hub and a backup interface. Found a 9.6kw system on Facebook for 3500, might reuse the inverter from the system for my second meter that won't require back up capabilities. Depending on install should be able to get two system running for about $15k

Hoping someone who knows better than I can confirm but I am pretty sure it works like this.

Energy Hub/Home Hub inverters are the same thing, just different naming over the years.
With this inverter you can hook up a battery and use it as long as you still have grid power. So most commonly used for time of day power billing systems.

To use the battery when power goes down, you still need a backup interface.

Nah definitely old tech which is why everyone is moving away from it, no major benefit to it at smaller scales like this and a lot of negatives.
