I would suggest to hold, last black friday we got same desktop but with 7900 GRE and only $999. Might be worth the wait!

This might be a really weird year for pricing with the way it's already going. I agree it's worth the wait.

I can't wait for BF due to Win11 deadline… this seems decent after watching deals for a while. Is it really that mediocre of a deal?

I would say it's lukewarm, what's the crunch for you with Windows 11?

With tariffs and what not, we have no idea what electronics prices are going to be soon.

I'm guessing it's in reference to Win 10 end of life in Oct. And their current machine probably does not meet min. requirements for Win 11. I'm in a similar boat. Testing out Linux flavors as an alternative at the moment.

There are a few ways to work around the hardware requirements for Windows 11. Registry edits can be made, and really the biggest drawback is the lack of security updates. You can still push manual updates for big releases. I'm running 11 on a gaming PC with an unsupported CPU and it's been fine.

It most definitely can be done. Tinkering is great for some. But different strokes for different folks. A simple plug & play is a preferred method for lots of people.

You can get Windows 11 onto it as stated, but the path of least resistance for most folks would be to just continue using the Win10 PC from the October deadline to just after Black Friday. You're unlikely to get hammered by a security issue unless you have a habit of downloading virus-ridden files. Microsoft may even push a patch for a severe issue despite operating systems being officially unsupported, which they did for WannaCry ransomware in 2017.

Is there any guarantee of good prices in November? Well, no. But maybe.

Hard to predict the future price for this: it could go up due to increased tariffs on parts, it could also go down in price due to less demands, because the gaming pc is the least needed in a financial crisis.

Lenovo has not had a decent sale since that sale...with the tariff uncertainty it's likely they won't again for a bit.

Care to explain why this is terrible? Have you seen prices lately? Sure you could buy someone's leftovers and save a bit or wait 3 to 6 months piecemealing a system to build yourself. But for sub 1500 you are getting a very powerful system out of the box. Seems good to me.
