I initially thought the Google Store credit could be used as Google Play Store credit, but it seems they are quite different.
I don't plan to purchase another Pixel or tablet, so the $100(expire after 365days) credit feels useless.
So, upgrading from the Pixel 6a to the Pixel 9a for $234 plus tax seems somewhat expensive.
I placed an order this morning for pickup, but I'm now considering canceling it.

Caution on the "Google Store Credit" offer. I did a similar deal a couple years ago (purchased a Pixel 6a with an Iphone trade in and got $100 "Google Store Credit"). What we actually got with that deal was a $100 Google Store discount coupon. If you purchased something that was on sale, it changed the price to remove the sale discount. So $100 off only full price items. A number of people contacted Google due to them switching the terms of the offer but got nowhere.

So if you do this deal, take screenshots and have records. You might need to fight Google to actually get store credit vs. a discount coupon.

I'm an existing google fi customer and I got the 100$ store credit and 200$ off the phone anyway for it to be 299$ without trade-in. My pixel 3a XL only has a 25$ trade in credit lol.

Didn't really see much under 100$ in the store for accessories except for the overpriced leather phone case and screen protectors. My only thing i guess you can get are some bluetooth earbuds

EDIT: oh actually, i didn't account for the extra 100 off, checkout has it for 199 for me. pretty good deal!

EDIT EDIT: OKAY, so the code i got in my email is just 100$ off either Unlocked or Fi and the 100 store credit is for UNLOCKED version only. less slick, but i guess 200 total for a new phone ain't bad.
