Get $100 off the new Pixel 9a (Unlocked or Fi) using your exclusive coupon code: CHECK YOUR EMAIL. For me, the code got added automatically when I went to the Google Store since I was logged in.

Plus, get $100 in Google Store credit when you buy an Unlocked Pixel 9a.▵ Ends 4/23/25.

You could get extra 3% in store credit with your Google One membership.

https://store.google.com/us/produ...a?hl=en-US

Trade-in information:
Get up to $165 back when you trade in your Pixel 6a.
Pixel 8a TIV: $250

$499 - $100 - $165 = $234 plus $100 Google Store credit or $112 Google Store credit ( Google One membership). Isn't this a good price even without the store credit and a great price with store credit?

† The amount of Store credit you get will be determined in Checkout. Credit cannot be earned on taxes, coupons, services, subscriptions, or Store credit applied to the subtotal. Credit earned from this purchase will be added to your Google Store account 24 hours after the order has shipped and can be used on the purchase of any Google Store device or accessory. It will expire 365 days after being added to your account.

‡ The final amount refunded to your card may be higher or lower than our estimate if its condition is different than what you indicated in our Trade-in wizard. If the trade-in refund exceeds the cost of your new device (excluding taxes), you'll get the remaining value as store credit.

I was very tempted to get the 9a, with a $100 coupon + $100 credit + $80 trade in for my useless Pixel 2XL, a net price of $220 (if you count the credit as fungible, which I don't really) is pretty attractive. I went so see it in person at Best Buy (i.e. the showroom where I never buy anything) today, and came away deciding I want the Pixel 9 instead, despite the huge price difference. The reasons for me are:

  • The modem. I have hadd phones with crappy reception (e.g. Pixel 2XL) and meh reception (Pixel 7a) and it's a huge headache -- it's not worth rolling the dice with the 9a's throwback modem that has known issues
  • Fingerprint reader -- I hate the one on my 7a, and the 9a doesn't appear to be much better
  • Form factor. I don't mind the bezels that much, but the result in a phone that's just a tad bigger -- but it's enough of a difference that the 9 feels good in my hand and the 9a not so much
  • Other spec bumps -- they aren't a big deal, they but tip the scales even further: More memory, better gorilla glass, better cameras

So, any speculation on when we will see the next round of deals on the Pixel 9, and how good they will be?
I appreciate you sharing your expanded logic. This 9A thread got me shopping and I've ended up with a Pixel 9 at Target pricing $399 with a pending purchase of a 9 Pro through a Best Buy pricing error giving me a trade in promo of $210 for a Pixel 6A.

From a modem perspective the Pro can handle UWB which I occasionally see in my travels and was built in to the iPhone 13 but can only be found in ultra high end Pixel products.

To find inventory at Target you are better off walking in. The only one I found in my region was sitting on a shelf with no indication it woud ring up at $399. Sticker said $499. Other "deals" may requre a bundle with somebody's phone service. The Visible "DEALTIME" code would give you $300 off the Pixel 9 or 9 PRO.

Google Support told me that the codes are auto-generated and I should receive mine before the $100 store credit deal expires on 4/23.
Note: I am a Google One member. I'm not sure if this is the same answer you'd get as a non-Google One member.
Good luck. The chat sounded like you "may" still get one. As far as I can tell, Google One doesn't make a difference. My Google One account didn't get a code but my another Google account did.

Thanks. Yeah I forgot to mention that one of the modem features missing on the 9a is satellite texting for emergencies -- not something I would expect to need, but you never know, so it would be nice to have.

Still though, the Pixel 9a was by far the cheapest deal. 100 off code. Net 230 in trade from a 50 dollar iPhone 13. So 170 with tax, and then 150 in Google store credit. I tried to sell my code but after looking at the deal for a while it made the phone too cheap to pass on.

Curious, how did you arrive at this math?
Pixel 9a = $499 + tax
Discount code via email = -$100
iPhone 13 = $50 ?? (Are you referring to the Metro iPhone 13 deal? Its $50 + Minimum 1 month service @ $70 with Port-in = $120 for Phone with service)
Trade-in value for iPhone 13 = - $280
----------------------------------------
($499 + taxes) - $100 + $50 + $70 - $280 = $240 + Taxes (for $499 phone)

+ Google Store Credit $100 (How do you get $150 credit?)
Also, in past promotions, Google store credits could not be used with promotions - for example, say Chromecast TV streamer sells for $80 in Google Store and in Amazon / BestBuy / Target, but the moment you try to use this credit, it'd count the product for pre-promo price of $100.

Google Store Credit has always stacked with sales prices, now promos/coupons are a totally different story. Typically when using a promo/coupon on the Google Store it would raise the price of the hardware to the normal price, erasing any advertised sales Google had on that product.

I was a bit confused about the marketing materials - I thought the 9PRO with UWB also meant it was the only one with mmWave 5G frequencies. I put in my Best Buy order to alleviate the storage constraint of 128GB. I don't do a lot with cameras so unless I push myself to use more AI I won't see much difference between my 9 and 9 Pro. I agree enhanced trade in values and other perks usually get me buying at launch. Those marketing ploys are becoming more restricted and less frequent.
