You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

I have used Number Barn several times. You'll need to purchase the Park plan which is $2 extra. Make sure to enable SMS. I recommend you do a test by sending a text message from your personal mobile phone to the Number Barn line. You can view it on the Message tab on the website. Then you can go through Total Wireless process of verifying your line which it will send you a code.

That's info from before Verizon bought the brand in Nov 2021 (before 2021 they had occasionally offered bundled phones that used ATT/TMo).
Since Nov 2021 all locked phones have only activated on Verizon so that doesn't even apply anymore and really should get removed because it just confuses people.

Anyone know how long you have to activate/transfer the line over once you receive the device? Without starting the 90 day plan? Or does it start as it is delivered?

Phone has to be activated by you.
I don't think I've ever seen a "deadline" - most users activate right away to start the unlock clock.

I believe when you place the order and do the SMS code, that doesn't have to be the phone number you actually want to Port from. I was told you can place the order with any phone that can receive text and after you receive phone to activate, a Google Voice number should work at that point to Port from. Just put the Google Voice phone number for account number and pin number. I would love confirmation of this if this is true though, thanks.

Since it's two / account and you only pay for the line, not the phone... is the second still $165 or is the second line/deal cheaper, like a 3 x $35 sort of deal? That would be great. Did anyone try a second order yet? I will try to get the first this weekend.

And for those wondering why it takes a moment... TW is not the fastest with the shipping. When I did that with an edge last year it took a few days before they actually shipped it. Just be patient. 4-5 days is/was "normal".

Would like to know as well.Interested to port 2 lines. Sorry in advance but SD is not very good at searching comments in threads. Maybe mods can work on this will some AI capability.

One rep told me 30 days. Another rep and Google AI told me there is no activation deadline. Just activate when you want your new phone plan to start.

How do you do the 3 months? I only see I 1 month option. Then it doesn't discount the phone. This is with a port.

my family placed an order, he is new customer with new account, passing the id verification, got the order email. but today received the email the order is cancelled. Is that becoz of the same address as mine? we are 2 different IDs and 2 different names

I bought an iphone 13 each from Straight Talk online and Total Wireless in store. They have different lock screen/wallpaper images from each other, and looks different than the one shown on the current offer from TW. Does someone know if there's any difference between the phones like manufactured date, updated electronics etc.? The order of the images is Straight Talk, Total Wireless in store, and Total Wireless current deal. Thanks.

So these iPhones automatically unlock on the last day of the third billing cycle? Does that give me an opportunity to Port out the number into another carrier after it unlocks?
