You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

So these iPhones automatically unlock on the last day of the third billing cycle? Does that give me an opportunity to Port out the number into another carrier after it unlocks?
Thats what their terms say 60 days of service so 2 months of paid service

There is no difference physically
Thanks, do you know if there's any difference in the firmware between the two TW ones, the one I bought in a store and the current one in this deal? I thought that each iphone model had its own default screen/wallpaper image, but maybe it's common to have different ones, depending on where you buy it.

Totally normal. They don't ship out on weekends - you should first get a preparing notice, then label created, then when they actually get it to UPS you will get a shipping notice with tracking number.
Once UPS has the pkg it's 2 day shipping but TW/ST/TF have always been pretty slow getting orders out the door from warehouse to UPS.
Be patient.

I bought an iphone 13 each from Straight Talk online and Total Wireless in store. They have different lock screen/wallpaper images from each other, and looks different than the one shown on the current offer from TW. Does someone know if there's any difference between the phones like manufactured date, updated electronics etc.? The order of the images is Straight Talk, Total Wireless in store, and Total Wireless current deal. Thanks.

FIrst image is likely phone is running iOS 17. Second image is iOS 18 and by default out-of-the-box the wallpaper color changes randomly. Stock image is never representative of the wallpaper

I think the answer is inside your question. How many did you buy? And have you used multiple accounts to get around the inability to purchase multiple phones from the same account? I tried to order 2 phones from my new account but the system wouldn't allow me. It kept throwing errors when I tried to add the plan to go along with the phone. I think they only allow you to order one phone for now. Once you receive the phone and activate it, you may be able to place another order.

I keep getting the alert message at the final step when I click the "Place Order" button:
"We apologize, but we cannot process your transaction at this time. Please try again later or call us at 1-866-663-3633."

Does anybody have a clue how to bypass it?

I think they killed the deal. I got it a couple of hours ago and was successful. My wife is trying now and can't get it.

Your wife is trying to order from your account or her account? I think they are limiting us now for one phone per account. This might change after you receive and activate your phone.

She is creating a new account, but it's not showing her the deal.

I tried yesterday and today and the alert message always popped up at the last step. Just wonder if anything else had the same issue and got around it?
