You dont have to do this necessarily as the verification code they send when you are purchasing the phone doesnt have to be the phone number you are porting. You can get the verification code on any number then when you port a number over you can use the number barn number for $5

Yes, but nobody sold you something for $125-200 under retailer wholesale cost.
You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

Ordered mine morning of 10th and it just arrived via UPS (Monday afternoon) in a big box with airless bubble wrap. Piss-poor packing job.

Did they provide you tracking prior or it just showed up randomly?

I think the answer is inside your question. How many did you buy? And have you used multiple accounts to get around the inability to purchase multiple phones from the same account? I tried to order 2 phones from my new account but the system wouldn't allow me. It kept throwing errors when I tried to add the plan to go along with the phone. I think they only allow you to order one phone for now. Once you receive the phone and activate it, you may be able to place another order.
Just following up, I receive an email from total wireless on the reason for cancellation, in quotes:

"Thank you for choosing Total Wireless, Inc., for your prepaid cell phone and accessory needs.
At this time, we regret to inform you that your order, placed between April 11, 2025 to
April 13, 2025, was not approved, and could not be processed by our billing verification systems."

That was my Citi, unsure why it didn't go through. Reorder with my chase card.

Thanks OP, in for one. I figure everyone already has my information anyway, might as well do the ID verification.

You can transfer a VOIP number or purchase a number like some of the early replies to this thread. The verification when ordering can be done with your own number, but when you receive and activate the phone, you'll need to port in another number

Just grab a Google voice number for free. When the phone comes you'll have to pay 3$ to unlock the GV for porting. Get the number now so you can order while the deal is live.

Same mail for me, but did you get cancelled in your order status? For me i have : Pending remote fulfillment. I contacted the Total Wireless customer service and they said my order is still processing.

That's what my order showed at first. Then upgraded to Approved after a few hours. And then next day to Shipped. UPS didn't have tracking information for a day after it showed Shipped, and now shows (on UPS tracking site) that its on the way.

Yes, it shows "cancelled".

Fyi: each time they cancel it uses one of your 1 out of 2 verification discounts. so in my case, I have to verify with another person if I want the discount again. Unfortunate.

Still stuck at "Pending Remote Fulfillment" since 4/10. Hoping this thing ships soon.

My card shows the charge went through on the 11th and is not pending.
