You get what you pay for.
You can buy this phone for more without the requirements.
If they did not require this some folks would buy dozens to resell (which I have no exact issue with other than it make such a deal impossible to offer)
Decide for yourself.
It's really no different from walking into T-mobile and signing a contract to get a 'free' or subsidized iphone. They take your id there.

Exactly the same issue when ported in GV. Did you find a solution?
What number did you call?
But if I have to cancel the port and restart a new port whats the steps now?

I think in future to speed things up we should have the GV unlocked BEFORE starting the purchase process. GV recognizes that text message from Total Wireless as the beginning of the process of porting, even though I didnt submit accoutn or pin. By Tomorrow my incoming calls/text should be working.
Ordered with GV previously but activated with metro (as unable to receive otp on metro), but this time will activate with GV.

After trading in my iPhone 11 from a previous TW deal, I'm up $2-3 bucks.
BTW, per the suggestion of a couple of people here, I just used my GV number for porting/code verification at the time of placing the order. I did not need need to actually port that number when activating.
