Just bought a 3rd iPhone 13 on 5/19. Since I gave my mom a Mother's Day gift, she didn't mind me using her ID so I could facilitate the transaction. Total has already charged my card so I'm just patiently waiting for them to send me the shipping/tracking info.
S/N: One caveat that threw me off was when I tried using the same account that I ordered the first phone w/, it kept prompting me w/ an error message saying "We're sorry" followed by to "call some 1-800#." In order to pivot, I tried creating a whole new account to order the phone, but that didn't work so as a precautionary measure, I turned on my VPN to "Dallas, TX" and also for good measure, I had my mom text the verification code to her phone instead and there was no need to do any ID verification since we had already done that prior, and then I was eventually able to select a plan to finalize my purchase, but I opted to use a different credit card instead just in case.
I had the same issue for my 2nd. Just persisted and it worked after 3 or 4 attempts.
So, you ordered a 3rd using a new ID. Is it limit 2 for a single ID?

Ported out two numbers last week, and I will get both iPhone 13s delivered today. This was simple and seamless. I will report once I use the port-out code and set up these phones. Thanks to the OP!
How did it go? Any update is appreciated!

Practially speaking you leave the sim in until the phone is unlocked. If you can't wait 60 days IDK what to tell you.

So, Last night I sat with my two new iPhone 13s and inserted a SIM into each one, logged into Total Wireless, and within 7 minutes, each phone was connected. You will have to get your Port Out Code. I cannot believe how easy it was.
To reiterate, the iPhone 13s will be my gap phones until the iPhone 17 Pro Max comes out in September. I have two iPhone 12 Pro Max and am headed on vacation to Florida. The batteries will not make the trip as they die quickly (76% health).
Even better news, I can trade these in, probably AT&T in September and get a $1000 trade-in value. So this is a win-win for my wife and me.
I would do this all over again. The only drawback is that the iPhone 13 screen is 6.1, and my iPhone 12 Pro Max is 6.7. But it's only for a few months.

Can you tell me how much you paid per line? Went to the store and they were saying there would be tax on the full price of the phone which was something like $520.
I paid $165 total for each line and received a free iPhone 13. I did the online verification, and that was drop-dead easy. As of now, I have not paid any tax for the free phone/s.

I bought this to trade in to ATT, guess I don't even have to mess with activating it, don't care about the 3 months of service, just wanted a cheap iPhone 13

What's the numberbarn process to port out? Will TW accept a number from them? They won't accept a TextNow number when activating the phone

Last year the oldest iPhone they would take for trade in for a "free" iPhone 16 pro was the base model iPhone 12. It seems to go up by one generation every year. If the pattern holds, this year it will be the iPhone 13 ($1000 trade in credit towards an iPhone 17 pro). I'm taking a chance by buying now but worst case scenario I should be able to just sell this iPhone 13 for what I paid for it if the trade in deal doesn't work out.

Nice! What type of plan are you on? Post-paid? I might do that too even if it means more out of pocket each month.

Can I buy it now before it expires and activate it in September when my current MINT 12 month ends? I can then use it and switch back to MINT or keep their low tariff if they have it

Got number from number barn for $5.
In the "numbers" tab there should be something there in regards to porting out. Its been a few weeks but I think there is a port out info button there that you click on and it has the account number and pin.
After you have that info numberbarn will send an email or a message within their webpage that a request to port out has been made and to wait the amount stated. For me this took like 5 minutes to process.
I purchased a number from number barn and step 3 of buying this iphone requires you to check the number and enter the texted verification code. How do you do this with number barn?

I understand you need to pay an additional $2 to park the number and change the settings to receive SMS. A better option is to use a different number to purchase the phone where you can receive texts, then use the Number Barn number when you port. You do not have to use the same number to purchase that you use to port in my experience.
