Practially speaking you leave the sim in until the phone is unlocked. If you can't wait 60 days IDK what to tell you.
you can use the sim in anoter phone but AFTER make a couple of calls and texts to and from the phone. On day 61 or 62 send to 611 on the phone, a messagw with single word: UNLOK

It's not recommended to use sim in different phone, Sim is registered to phone imei and it can mess up unlock - it's not worth the trouble it can cause.
(BTW, 611611 hasn't worked for getting unlock date for months & iPhones have unlocked automatically for years, there's no need to text anything).

Can you do multiple lines at once for this deal, or is it like metro where you have wait for each phone to ship, activate, then add another line?

I just received my phone, and tried to activate the sim on Totalwireless.com. It actually gave me option to either get a new number or port in. Have anyone tried to get a new number to see if it works? that can save the hassle of number porting right?

Out of curiosity, I chose new number and seems the phone/sim is activated without an issue. Does this have any problems since I did not port in any number?

Help with NumberBarn port-in.

Total Wireless is asking for current service provider: which one do I select?

If its not on the list then they probably have option for "other provider"

How long does it take for the phone fully work after porting a GV number?
I did the activation and port my GV number 3 days ago. Outgoing call works within 30 minutes, but incoming call still goes to the google voice after 3 days..

Deal clearly says a number must be ported - it's right in the information at beginning of thread as well as the title.
"Port-in of an existing phone number and ID verification is required"
I activated mine phone in this deal with a new number option. It didn't block anything and activation went through smoothly.

Tried activating new iPhone 13 with ask for new number option to see if I could avoid having to do the port but I got a screen saying bring your own number was required to activate device so I can confirm that trick isn't working anymore as some claimed it did
FYI I activated mine with a new number without an error. Maybe I got lucky?

Be careful it might not get unlocked eventually if you don't follow the requirements of the offer. Mine didn't get unlocked and I activated as a new number even though I paid for 60 days. It required me to call them and request unlocking the phone. I am not sure if it's was not automatically unlocked because I activated with a new number but GV is only $3 and it's not worth the risk.

My order of iPhone 14 and three months plan finally came after 8 days of waiting. It's black though I ordered white. It doesn't have a plastic wrap out of the box.
Despite of these, I successfully activated the phone, but wasn't able to port in. I sent PORTIN to 611611 but it failed since no service. I clicked the link on the website but didn't receive any message. Anyone can tell me how to port in? Thanks

For my case of the iphone 14 plus, I chose to activate with a new number. I paid for the second month and the phone was unlocked automatically on day 61.
