I bought a phone from them and activated it on March 17th I was only going to have service for one month and then switch it after the 60 day period. I ended up letting my plan expire, but then I saw that it now says you have to have 60 days active service. I bought another month of service but one of the phone reps is saying my unlock date is 55 days out. I activated over 30 days ago, so hoping that rep is wrong. Ridiculous if they are making it 60 days consecutive when that wasn't the rule prior to the recent change.
Their reps are clueless. It will unlock 60 days from your initial activation date.

Likewise I was active in March so before their April 1st policy I'm going to push it if they decide to change the TOS like that.

Sorry this is out of topic, but do you know if Numberbarn.com are eligible for Metro by t-mobile port in discounts? Thanks!
FYI - Google Voice and Number Barn numbers won't give full discount on Metro. I guess Metro systems are getting smarter with these VOIP numbers.

Hello, i need some suggestion. I plan to port my number from Mint and port it back to some other provider after 2 months. that means do i have to pay for the 3rd month too to keep the phone under my account so that it can be unlocked?

Agree. I went ahead and bit the 2 year contract bullet from T-mobile. Got 4 free iphone 16Es (no trade in needed, but had to pay sales tax) plus paying 100 for 4 unlimited lines (same price I was paying in Xfinity). Plus they have 800 (200 per line) promo for transferring.

Phone has to be active to port out so yes, it would require paying for an additional month of service after unlocking.

Thanks for the information. That is very helpful. Can I switch to cheapest plan for month 3? I see a $40 plan. will that work?

There's no requirement to have a specific plan, just choose whatever one works best for you.

So I ported from GV and it initially seemed to work but rn the number is listed both on GV and the phone's eSIM, has reverted back to SOS, and the phone now has a message about this phone number 'not being supported' by my carrier. Not sure if I should wait or what—has anybody encountered this yet?

Cricket is a MVNO of AT&T, doesn't have the same unlock policy as VZW MVNO's, so if you're not benefiting from VZW's unlock policy then any deal would work for you

I read some Slickdeals folks were able to switch to the $15/month Cricket plan, so that would be fine for me.

I am just looking to use it as a backup iPhone for my family. It would work itself out cheaper that way.

Thanks!
