I really wish there were good options on these that had Ethernet and no display connection. I want a bunch of USB C & A, good pass through charging, and a NIC.

is there a reason why none of these USB-C hubs actually offer a single USB-C port on the hub other than the PD port?
This USB-C hub plugs into the only USB-C port on the laptop, leaving me with 0 USB-C port to use.

No, it is not good. You may not notice 30hz if you're just using the computer occasionally for web surfing, but 60hz is the minimum to avoid eye strain for frequent use and higher is better for gaming

There are a bunch of different variations, you just need to find the one with the configuration you want. For example here's a deal I picked up last year that had both a USB C PD port and USB C data port:

fyi only the 4k resolution runs at 30hz. 2k and 1080 will be at 120hz.

The 5-in1 and 10-in-1 compatibility lists state "Notice: doesn't compatible with new M1-based Macs like MacBook Air M1 2020, MacBook Pro M1 2020,Mac mini M1". The 6-in-1 may/does have newer Mac compatibility.
