Old game but if you never played it worth getting, its a great time killer and there are even some mods for it now that make it even better. No replay of the game is ever the same which helps keep the game fresh.
Unrelated to price, has anyone played FTL on Windows AND Mac? Steam Cloud Save doesn't seem to work... I recently picked up a Mac Mini, and when I installed Steam & FTL on it, there was no progress (no achievements, no ships unlocked). Checked on my Windows machines, and they were all synced.
Edit: Never mind. Sync between Windows and Mac seems to be an old, unsolved problem. In the very least, I can copy a save file from Windows and copy it to my Mac to at least have access to unlocked ships.

Why isn't this game on iPhone!?! I played it years ago on Android and would really like to play it again.
So, I assume you played on Android using a windows emulator (as it has never gone to any mobile platform -though I wish it had). How was it using an emulator?
My favorite strategy is boarding the enemy ship and eliminating the crew. Why destroy a perfectly good ship when you can just eliminate the enemy? Anyone that boards my ship gets an unhealthy dose of asphyxiation.

The mantises are so good for boarding, of course
