Its weird, but not getting free shipping kills the deal for me. I am use to getting free shipping for majority of products, so when I see 8 dollars minimum i think, do I really need it.

Being in construction and having wore about every brand of boot, if you're thinking you may need a wide boot definitely get a wide with the Wolverine brand as they run thin on the width. A wide Wolverine is about like a standard width Keen, little wider. No brand of boot holds up like they used to and Wolverine is no different. I bought 2 pairs imagine I'll get 1-1.5 years out of both and for the price here I'm perfectly fine with that.

I've bought three pairs from their deals recently and all had free shipping through the coupon code. Definitely interested but agree no free shipping kills the deal for me.

Thanks OP! I ordered 2 of these in Steel Toes and this deal stacked with the 15% off they offered for first time buyer. So the total was like $90.74 for 2 pairs & got free shipping as well.

Wolverine website offers a 15% off coupon but they actually sent me an improved 20% off coupon instead that stacks with the code. Got 2 x pair for $85 shipped. Good deal.

How are these in terms of being water proof or resistant?

Not even the higher priced brands? I was looking at Keen or better. I thought I would try my luck going higher since I have been very unimpressed with ~ $125 range shoes/boots.

Yes, and it wasn't that long ago. I gave in two years ago and got some Timberline Pro boots and didn't get a year out of them and they were almost $300. Anymore I'll always look for deals on this site and buy rather I need them or not and worse case scenario $100 is my limit as all brands are junk with their glued in soles and stitching that comes out. Keen hands down is the biggest fall from grace. 3 months and the stitching was out on the front side.

I've done commercial HVAC for over 20 years and what's happened to the boot industry is just plain sad. They're all junk anymore.

i contacted keen to try them out and asked for the most durable boot. the one they told me lasted like 4 months, a record low. ill not buy keen again.

White's out of Spokane, their original hand lasted or Westco Job master. Twelve times the cost of China boots for a reason and a bargain at that for the support and the vastly reduced fatigue. 400ltv have lasted me decades with factory reconditioning.
