I'm unfamiliar with "waxed leather", but, although it supposedly makes for a nice looking finish, it could rub off and leave a residue (as per what I read). I was tempted to get this and then changed my mind (based upon what I read about "waxed leather").

I do like these wallets. I tried moving to a smaller card wallet after my last Travelambo started getting a little long in the tooth, but everything I've tried either seems to be poorly made, or the leather stretches till cards start falling out. I just recently went back to one of these.
