Lame it doesn't come with seed kits. I have the larger 9 pod one and you can realistically only use 6 pods otherwise the plants get too crowded.
It says it comes with the grow sponges, most likely they will be the heirloom salad green mix. I recently got the Sprout and that came with a 3 pack of herbs. Got the bounty basic too and that came with two packs of the salad lettuce mix. You can also just drop in basically whatever seeds you want to those grow sponges so long as they won't outgrow the garden. I put a spacemaster 80 cucumber in the middle of one of the salad sponges and it's already sprouting after 3 days.

The amazon review from Net Noid points out the following:
"The 2.0 doesn't have the grow covers included.
Several reviewers have also pointed out that the 2.0 only puts out 15w of light compared to the 20w of the 1.0. I'm not experienced enough with hydroponic gardens to know if this will be a significant Achilles heel going forward. It's plenty bright and if I didn't already own the 1.0, I wouldn't even notice.
The Harvest 2.0 doesn't come with pre-seeded pods. It comes with six grow your own pods and a pack of Black Seeded Simpson lettuce. This setup has given me the experience setting up my own pods that I only used one pod for the included lettuce seeds, and used the other five to start growing my own select herbs and tomatoes. I plan to never purchase pre-seeded pods ago as this was so easy.
...
I also noticed that the water pump is smaller than the 1.0 pump and has a correspondingly smaller sponge filter. I didn't notice the filter until the first cleaning because it's on the bottom of the removable pump rather than on the pump's side like the 1.0."
I got the larger ones thinking this would be cool to grow herbs in the kitchen. But it didn't really grow. Not sure if it's the water mix they provided but it didn't do so good and then the wife didn't like it sitting on the counter. Maybe will try to grow flowers instead to make it look nice.
had these for couple years. they are great for growing insects in your house, not so much for plants.
Not my experience. Yes any plants on a long enough time line will probably deal with some form of infestation, but hydroponics leads to overall far fewer pests than soil gardening.

I have heard trash talk about Aerogardens nutrtients. I recommend General Hydroponics stuff.
I'd recommend people check craigslist and FB marketplace because these tend to be all over it, sometimes for free.

i tried something similar. all i wanted was to grow herbs in my kitchen. my apartment gets no sunlight. bought a grow light and grew the seeds in soil. little did i know that i was paying 10x more for the same herb at the supermarket. these lights stay on for 5 hours a day. mine was 100w. electricity aint free.
If you are someone who is prone to impulse purchases, don't buy this. I bought one a few years ago for maybe $40. Used it once and never used it again. I will probably put this on freecycle.org.
Wait, i thought AG shut down? Dumping left over stock?
Anyway I have a farm 24xl and like it. I also have a couple smaller units i use for seed starting.
Like NumberNineLarge said Use the GH nutes instead of the miracle grow stuff.

I knew this but I saw a video that said in some areas the pH of the water is not good. They're expensive testers but I figure go down to the supermarket and get a couple gallons of bottle drinking water, and the pH will probably be fine. So if it works and then you try with your faucet water again you probably know it's the water. Their stripped you can buy to check the pH of your water. I think sometimes they give if the false results. And there is more expensive solutions that require expensive liquid you have to buy and they're fragile they break easily.
So basically try bottled water for your next round at the cost of a couple dollars to find out .
