They're very comfortable, someday you'll value that over trying to impress people who don't matter (like you)

Dear Customer,

We are writing to inform you about a security issue we recently discovered - and to explain the steps that we're taking to protect you.

What happened?

On April 17, 2025, we learned that someone outside our organization gained unauthorized access to our order confirmation page. While not every order was accessed, the individual was able to view your name, email address, the last four digits of your credit card, and your shipping address (street address, city, state, and ZIP code). We've confirmed that the exposure was limited to individual order confirmations only and no other data or systems were impacted. We're sharing this because transparency is a core value for us - and you deserve to know.

What we're doing:
We've remediated the affected page
With our technology partners, we have engaged a cybersecurity firm to perform a comprehensive review of our systems.
Strengthened our monitoring and defenses to reduce any risk of this happening again.
What should you do?
We recommend that you remain vigilant of potential phishing attempts, including being cautious of any unsolicited communications that ask you to provide your personal information electronically. You should also avoid clicking on links or downloading attachments from suspicious emails.
Remember that Al's Sporting Goods will never ask you to provide sensitive information by email or by unsolicited phone calls.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact us directly at [email protected]

Al's Sporting Goods takes the protection of your information seriously, and we sincerely regret this incident occurred.

Sincerely,
Al's Sporting Goods Security Team

When converting men to women size, do I go up 1.5 or 2 specifically for these hokas? If I do 1.5, won't it be narrower on toe box because women shoes are generally narrower? Or should I go up 2 to account for that narrowness?

Bad deal. Only 2 sizes available in white and no wides. And the price is $94, not $90. Look elsewhere!

I don't think it's a concidence that Slickdeals listed a deal that generated a lot of traffic to the site, and the site was compromised that day. It speaks to the power of the site and/or the ability for a bad actor to exploit it. Never mind if someone already had compromised a site, then listed a deal, etc....crazy.

I thought the same but didn't want to sound accusatory. It also raises the troubling question that all the parties you mentioned could be interrelated somehow.

Yeah it's not accusatory, but seems like a logical thought. The deal had over 100k views....a hacker could just go through and see what was popular. Then try exploits or confirm they had already compromised the site.
