Visible's unlock policy it 60 days.

"Any smartphone purchased from Visible will be locked for 60 days from the date the device was activated on the Visible account associated with the purchased device. Once the 60 days are up, your device will be unlocked automatically."

I have Chase offer for 35% back (up to $30) on Visible purchase, which negates cost for 2 months services. Final cost for me will be $199+tax with no trade-in required like Google offer.

Also, 60 days of Visible service will cost you $50, so the total cost of this phone would come to $249+tax.

Not sure Chase offer will work. Chase offer expires today, and is only applicable to subscription charge. But subscription will not be charged until phone is activated---which will be after April 15.

And Chase offer is for 35% of subscription amount---so that's 35% of $25, for one month? or possibly more months?
I could see the Chase offer being valuable if someone were to buy a year of service, that would definitely max out the deal.

Already on visible.. so port out and back in next day? What's a good strategy
I have seen others that did just that. They ported to US Mobile (trial) and ported back 24 hours later using a new email address so they qualified as a "new customer."

Could an existing member theoretically "refer" themself as a new member with a new email address to buy the 9a for $200 plus $5 for a month of service, immediately cancel that new account and use the new phone on their original account? I don't really need a new phone but upgrading from Pixel 7 to Pixel 9a for essentially $120 ($200 for the new phone - $80 for trading in my current phone) sounds tempting.

I don't think that would work. You need to keep service active on the new line for 60 days in order to receive the discount on the Pixel Phone. I think if you cancel the new line before the 60 days, they will charge you the $300 that you were discounted.

I don't think they have to be for 60 days. They did not mention in coupon details. not sure if mention somewhere. Only thing is to unlock they have be for 60 days.

This is tempting because I have a iphone 13 that can trade in for $165 credit. I have a separate post comparing it to the Google Play Offer.

The only downside is that the referral credit (yes, I have one which I used referring myself ) can be applied but its only off 20 off your 2nd service month and not off the first month any longer.

so first charge was: 216.42 but with the trade in: the final OOP will be: $51.42 plus $75.00 for the original metro deal 126.42

In comparison to the Google deal of:
63.49+12.51 deal variance + 75 =151

Also the OP will PM you with his referral code out of the blue.

It was better for me to do the visible deal because I didn't want a case or earbuds (yes, I know I could flip them) and it was 24.58 cheaper. I also got $20 on my main visible line.

Well I don't want to steer folks wrong. Cancel service at your own risk.

Unless it's a heavily used iphone 13 that's not great trade in deal .

Your iPhone 13 is worth a lot more than $165, even if it is locked

so this for those individuals that wanted me to compare the play store offer vs this offer with a trade in.

the google play store would be this:

Pixel 9a Obsidian 128GB (Unlocked)
Qty:
1,
$449.10

10% off ID.me

-$49.90
Buy Pixel 9a (Unlocked), get $100 in Google Store credit1

Add
Trade-in

Apple iPhone 13 (128GB)

Estimated trade-in value: $280.00

OOP
$208.39

and Store credit earned
$144.91

making the phone after store credit: 63.49 but i don't know what i could use the play store credit because its just towards merch besides cover and screen protector. maybe earbuds?
the case and earbuds would be: 136.03 leaving 12.51.

So my loss would be: 12.51 plus 75 metro deal.
