Just contacted them again, they created a case and escalated to a specialist who will contact me via email in 30-60 minutes. Let's see what happens...

Much different response than a few days ago. Getting the impression they are aware of this unlocking debacle
Unlikely, you will get a response within an hour. Chat agent created a support ticket on Thursday and gave me the same response. Never got a call since then regarding my unlock status. My phone is still locked. Inserting another provider's SIM card gives me the message that SIM card not supported.

I spoke with their call center agent this morning. Today is supposedly my unlocking day but it is still locked so they escalated the case. I only paid 2 months of service. Below is their follow-up email response:

"We're reaching out regarding your device unlocking request. We want to reassure you that we're currently working on your case with our Unlocking Department and we apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused.

We sincerely appreciate your patience while we work on it. We will follow up via phone call or email once we have any updates or resolution to the case within 2 business days. You can now sit back, relax and leave everything to our hands!"

It's interesting seeing some of the text from emails by customer service. As canned as the responses seem, there are clearly portions unique to the rep. We are all in the same boat, but people are getting different words.

At this point it's fair to assume that those who have paid for 2 months should have their phones unlocked in 63 to 65 days if Visible can fix the issue that they've identified on their side. Hard to imagine they want all customers to hound them one by one. We shall see as I've one more week before 60 days are up.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank horn34

Just for the hell of it, I ordered a free Google Fi physical SIM card and tried it out. Phone is still locked, so don't let a Visible rep pull that "the Pixel 9a needs a real SIM card to unlock" BS excuse on you. My phone should have been unlocked 1 week ago; I've received two separate Visible escalation emails and still no resolution.

Just received the 3rd escalation email to let me know that they are still "investigating"

i paid the 2 months (60 days) and on chat now this is what agent is saying...

"At lease two calls per month to take it as active."

"So far the phone was active on 2025- 4-15 and disconnected on 2025-5-27 the phone is required to stay in service for 60 days."

i cancelled the auto renew on 5/27, not the service. my service continued until the 60th day, which finished last week.

this company is ridiculous.

Really tough to read all the bad experiences going on as I'm nearing my 60 days beginning of July. I just checked my history and it still is showing out for delivery even though I already received and activated with a SIM card. Red flag.

I'm still waiting for my 60 days for my unlock but have following this closely with all the complains. A reddit comment said this... not sure how helpful it is or if someone else can try to see if they have the same results
https://www.reddit.com/r/Visible/...ked_again/
I have an update regarding the unlock issue with my device. I was able to reproduce the Unlock-Lock-again scenario.
Here's what I did:
  1. While connected to Wi-Fi, I entered *#*#7465625#*#* in the dialer.
  2. After that, I inserted the non-Visible SIM again.
Surprisingly, after this combination, the phone works fine - until the next reboot.
