i think mine magically unlocked overnight too. they said they were escalating my issue the other day but no actual reply from them yet. but the phone no longer says "SIM is not supported". i have an expired MINT sim in the phone that said "SIM not supported" the other day but now that error notice is gone. i will stick an active MINT sim in soon.

EDIT UPDATE: i went to developer options and checked "OEM Unlocking" and it is still grayed out, which supposedly means the phone is still locked to a carrier. but as mentioned above, it doesnt give me the "SIM not supported" any more. so i am not sure. will have to just stick an active SIM in soon and see if texting works.
oem unlocking will still be grayed out, but the reason for it being disabled changes. your phone looks network unlocked. Verizon doesn't ever unlock the bootloader.

Mine is unlocked as well. I'm using a Visible eSIM (paid for a 3rd month... oh well) with Xfinity Mobile physical SIM now. No word from customer service yet.

there are reports on Reddit that even devices bought during the second wave (with < 30 days of service) are unlocked now. πŸ˜† what a clown company

They probably accidentally unlocked all devices. Good thing I only paid $5 for the second month.

My 9a is now unlocked. I never submitted a ticket since I'm overseas. If you don't have a SIM to test, you can install free esim app Firsty.

Visible customer service reps and chat reps have been getting slammed by the first wave of Pixel 9a users trying to unlock after 60 days. I'm guessing to avoid the next wave Visible is proactively unlocking every Pixel 9a to give their customer service team a breather.

Is there a way to verify the unlock status without some other companies SIM card?
I'm at around day 68ish and the developer mode OEM unlock is grayed out.
Weekend what's different for people who have had their device unlock.

does the reason it's grayed out say it's due to network lock or "connect to the Internet or contact your carrier"? if the former, it's locked. if it's the latter, you're good
