Available Games:About these Games:
  • Grim Fandango Remastered:
    • Something's rotten in the land of the dead, and you're being played for a sucker. Meet Manny Calavera, travel agent at the Department of Death. He sells luxury packages to souls on their four-year journey to eternal rest. But there's trouble in paradise. Help Manny untangle himself from a conspiracy that threatens his very salvation.
    • Grim Fandango's epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than when it won GameSpot's Game of the Year award upon its original launch.
    • Remastered version includes:
      • Repainted, hi-res character textures
      • New, dynamic lighting
      • Classic score re-recorded with a full live orchestra
      • Over 2 hours of exclusive developer commentary
      • Concept art browser
  • Broken Age:
    • Broken Age is a timeless coming-of-age story of barfing trees and talking spoons. Vella Tartine and Shay Volta are two teenagers in strangely similar situations, but radically different worlds. The player can freely switch between their stories, helping them take control of their own lives, and dealing with the unexpected adventures that follow.
    • Key Features:
      • Original soundtrack, composed by Peter McConnell, recorded by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra
      • All-star voice cast, including Elijah Wood, Jack Black, Jennifer Hale, Masasa Moyo, Wil Wheaton, and Pendleton Ward
      • Dialog Trees!
      • Some jokes. Unless you don't think they're funny, in which case we totally weren't trying to be funny
      • A whole bunch of awesome PUZZLES
      • This one really hard puzzle that you won't get but you'll look it up online and not tell anybody

Broken Age too, even though the second half is weaker.

Agreed. The second half shows how they rushed it out. Still a fun game but pretty much zero replay value.

Grim is a killer play. Long game, lots of humor, plays solidly on Switch.

Grim Fantango is a fantastic late 90s LucasArts PC game. How does that translate to using controls on the Nintendo Switch to enjoy the game though? A point and click adventure game would be frustrating, in the least, I'd think when you're having to scan for the just right pixel to click, which is a good deal of the time you're playing.

I haven't played it on Switch, but Grim Fandango isn't actually point and click. Manny just walks around and turns his head to look at items of interest. Should translate pretty well to a stick or d-pad.

Grim Fandango isn't point and click. You control the character with the joystick and his head turns to look at anything of note and then you press a button to inspect it. So you aren't pixel hunting. As you run across the screen, it's very noticeable when he looks at different things.
