Knowing Verizon, your monthly bill won't be $140, it will always fluctuate due to "reasons" and they are known to dick around with every customer.

They lost me when they removed auto pay discounts and jacked up the price while I was still in a "contract". Same thing will happen again.

Is this a contract? would I not be able to switch to Tmobile in a few months if not happy with service and have Tmobile pay off the phones and move the lines? We had to do that a couple of years ago where Verizon offered us $200 per line, gift card. and we never received them. Had upgrade to 14 plus with verizon, Tmobile paid them off.

I've been a customer of theirs and that's been my experience too. But since I've been with them for 15+ years I get a loyalty discount but I DO NOT under any circumstances allow their shenanigans to go on unnoticed. I watch the bill like a hawk and I let someone know when something is wrong and it usually takes 2-3 customer service people to do their job unfortunately. But I also came from att and I'll say believe it or not I'd rather deal with Verizon than att lol. But I have friends who have t mobile and they experience similar price gouging practices…. I guess pick your poison. In my experience, the grass isn't always greener somewhere else. Most cell companies are pretty ruthless. But know the area you live in, some carriers excel better than others. For me Verizon is good for where I live and it's better than att and t mobile.
How much is your loyalty discount? I have been with Verizon for over 25 years and I don't have one. I would like to inquire about one.

Current tmobile customer, but stuck with old phones on a grandfather plan. Could we use this to get new verizon phones and then switch back to tmobile after 3+ months? Won't they take over exiting contracts or something?

If you have 4+ lines, they will give you $20/mo

Yep. You are right. Should have been clearer. The phones are free to me because my price with financed phones and discounts will be around what I am current paying with T-Mobile.

You weren't in a "contract" of your plan/service. You were in a "device payment agreement" for the device payment itself. Two different things.

After 17 year with verizon switched to att at costco. Got tired of usual price increases and changes. had 6 lines, att better service at our place, 6x 100$ in costco cash cards cheaper plan, and no activation fee when we switched over.

It's tempting to swap over to this deal from T mobile. The last 6 months for 5 lines it went from a total price of $162 to $188. We don't get any free phones and have a basic plan.
I'm in the same boat as you with 4 lines. The newest phone we have is an iphone 13. Kinda torn on if I want to leave T-Mobile after 15 years for Verizon

Same here with T-Mobile and a grandfather plan. From the four lines we have the oldest phone is an iphone 6 and the newest is an iphone 13. Currently debating on if I should move to T-Mobile

Same boat. I'm switching because of T-Mobile's two price increases. T-Mobile is not the deal that is was and it's cell phone offers are worse that AT&T and Verizon.

Yeah I'm so torn. I travel internationally and it really helps having unlimited texting and (slow) data for free

It's true, I've had it for the past 3 years now and the service has gotten increasingly shitty with barely a good signal around town where service should work effortlessly.
Interestingly i have the same experience with ATT. i wonder if it's a better idea to just buy the phones myself and get one of those low expense mobile carriers like mint mobile.
