Knowing Verizon, your monthly bill won't be $140, it will always fluctuate due to "reasons" and they are known to dick around with every customer.

They lost me when they removed auto pay discounts and jacked up the price while I was still in a "contract". Same thing will happen again.

Don't trust Verizon. One year later. Verizon will say : Auto Pay from -$10 to-$5 . So you have to pay $35/ month. Then later Verizon will say: more than 4 lines account add $3 per line . Today I called Verizon that want to upgrade the iPhone 16pro . But they change my promotion from $1000 to $600 when trade in my old iPhone in my account. So stay away from Verizon! In 36 months, Verizon can do everything they want.

Ugh. Sounds tempting just to get the four S25 Ultras for cheap, but Verizon is starting to suck in my area just outside Seattle WA. I know multiple people having network issues on Verizon right now, it's not even worth $30 per month per line.
And they will fark you every which way they can with the price.

How fast is this cheapest Verizon 5G plan (not the 5G Ultra Wideband) compare to AT&T 5G (don't think they have different 5G speed package such as 5G Ultra Wideband). ?

Consider a budget carrier. We switched to mint thinking we'd see how well we could take the (assumed) bad service before deciding whether to switch back. I forgot we switched. Can't tell at all.

I got the last month deal of 4 lines with iPhone 16pro - 128gb for $25/line and trade in any old working phones. I traded old iPhone 6/iphoneSE. And they accepted it. Now With taxes and fees it is showing up next month estimate $123 so about $30 per line. I also got $35 activation fees waived and $200 Verizon gift card via online chat agent. This will deduct from initial device taxes that I paid ($290-200 Verizon gift card via= $90). So I think it's good deal not sure if 16iphone pro max is good deal compared to last deal where you are paying extra $20 per month but you get higher capacity phone.

Lived in 6 states, nothing touches Verizon service esp when driving in the middle of no where

So many people complaining in this thread, what's a better alternative? AT&T which costs more than Verizon, offers less perks, has less trade in promotions during new phone releases, and has worst service.

The only other services are pre-paid phones and T-Mobile, the trash of all the phone carriers.

Only reason someone wouldnt get Verizon is if in their specific area where they live the service is bad, but if Verizon's bad there ill bet my life so is T-Mobile and AT&T.

This is not a good deal as the new plans include 50% less perks than the last one at the same or higher rate.

Best time to buy is right before iPhones come out or during the launch.

Last two years Verizon was offering EXISTING customers to trade in any cracked phone for a free iPhone ($700) with payment plans for 36 months (30 for ATT)

People bring up the payment plans too. I dont mind paying an extra 6 months off my contract to get off it early and get a brand new free phone.

I think some Slickdealers need to get on a MetroPCS plan and call it a day

This is so tempting. I'm happy with my Tmobile Simple Choice Plan 4x lines for $100+ tax but need to get new phones soon.
With this deal monthly Bill will go up by $20 to $120 + tax. So spending $720 Extra on services over 3 years but getting 4 iphones worth $4000. If C1 and $200 GC works then even better.

Plus I will get Verizon Friend and Family Promo Code from a of mine buddy which may bring down cost further.

Any thoughts?
I would advise against it. I used to be on TMobile simple choice plan and moved to ATT with similar deal offered here by Verizon. My bill with ATT started at $160 incl tax for 5 lines and now after some of the discounts being taken away, my bill is now just over $200 plus they sent notification that auto-pay discount is going to be reduced to $5 from $10, so that's an increase of $25 to my bill. The new phones are not worth it to be locked into 36 months of hell. Just buy your own phone, it's much cheaper to get previous gen phone that is just as good as current gen as they really don't any significant changes. I regret leaving the simple choice plan.

I switched from Verizon to MintMobile and haven't looked back until they sent me a similar deal in email. Crunching the numbers, it would cost me over $4,000 for phones and service for the 3 years I would be locked in. On the flip side, I can open a new CC for sign up bonus, buy the same 2 iPhone Pros unlocked, and it would cost me $2,000.

Think I'd rather spend 2k now than risk getting in another overpriced contract with Verizon.

This isn't a bad deal if you need new top of the line phones with service.
You don't get top speed but the speed you get (LTE)ish is ok.

Also the phones unlock after 60 days. After a year or so if they start messing around with pricing and what not you can always opt to switch to a different carrier that buys out your EIP.

If you also have home fios then you get the combo discount

The rate may stay the same...but they have fees and admin fees, and new boat for CEO fees that go up every year.

I pay that per line. so, five lines its 17.50.

Admin & Telco Recovery Charge $3.50

They say your monthly rate will stay the same for 3 years...but nothing will stopping them from increase this fee or adding another.

Well, I don't have 4 people to share this with. I also pay way too much for an ATT (single) line on the old, old school truly unlimited plan. Looking to switch to another cheaper unlimited - any tips on best options (that can help me save)? Paying approx $90/mo. now

I can BYOD, but it'd be nice if there was a new customer promo giving free iphone.
