There is a thread of it going for 849 from a few days ago where people were discussing. Summary is:

Pros:
- Amazing display
- Very powerful GPU
- Relatively compact for a gaming machine

Cons:
- Battery life is pretty bad
- Screen is only 60Hz
- The CPU is Intel 12 Gen which is one of the worst generations they had, it is very inefficient so bad for battery life but reasonably fast. Ryzen of the same Gen is much better though.

60Hz is a deal breaker if you wanted to use it for games which care about it. But many don't and if you aren't into fps this would be great for you. Battery life is bad, no way around it, you can get 3-4h with some tweaking at best (of course not when gaming).

I think it is a great deal for the price and for the right person. It is not a machine for everyone though (I own its predecessor).
2 years old? The GPU is 2 generations, 4+ years old

No comments? I thought it was a slick deal given this being 2 years old.

Very nice specs cannot speak to the reliability or the actual implementation on the machine but fantastic specs. This would be the ultimate office machine if you don't need the higher refresh rate on the screen or you're just going to be connecting it to gaming monitor.

I think they changed the listing, now shows excellent refurb vs certified. Only comes with 1 year allstate warranty

Good summary. Thank you, I agree with you 100%.

60hz is plenty for all-but-the-most-demanding games (and adequate even then, unless you're playing in serious competitions where every edge matters).

You can always (and I'd definitely recommend) connect an external monitor with better specs - card can handle it, no problem.

Seems like a pretty blazing deal for a small form factor 4070, especially if you plan on using it in a dock.

Is 60hz really a con? I thought that was pretty much the standard for a 4K laptop display. Also, I haven't seen a review for a gaming laptop yet that didn't list battery life as a con. People still seem amazed that they can't unplug a power, hungry, dedicated graphics card and expect it to last long.

I mean, if your gaming at 4K with a 3070 ti you're not really gonna get more that 60 FPS anyways to be honest. would probably be better if the display was 1440p 120hz

seems like a great deal for price/performance; just drop another 16-32gb stick in there and you're set for a couple years at least..

i'm also surprised at the battery life disappointment, like, this is running a 4k screen, which is 4x the resolution of 1080p, of course it's going to use more power

The battery capacity is the max size (99watt-hours) that you can take on a plane as well, so just an inefficient build I guess. Not sure you'll find many computers with this cpu/gpu/screen combo that do significantly better unless something is seriously broken with power management.

I had this back in the day which I gott for 1200 and thought it was an amazing price, but once I put my hands on the machine and actually used it, I thought th 1200 was the price. Amazing screen, buggy windows 11, terrible port selection, quite heavy and bad battery BUT, for 763, it's a NO BRAINER, given that the new 5070 is barely faster. Such a good price that I am considering getting one for me. For 1200 was just ok, for 763 is amazing.

Sounds like a bad idea for a 4 year old 12th gen CPU & 3070 RTX laptop which is pretty old model. You get far better deals for $800-$1000 range especially given that 5000 card based laptops are coming out now.
