I did a quick test run and it looks like Spirit silver isn't worth it. Frontier Gold matches to silver in spirit.

Frontier is one of the worst airlines operating in the states - almost every flight I've flown with them has been delayed or canceled/rescheduled.
Perhaps if it this was for a free check-in bag it might be good, but they are beyond sticklers when it comes to measuring size of carry-on bag and personal items; the gate agents actually get a bonus for every person they reject and are able to coerce to purchase the oversize fee at the gate.
Given this "deal" is only 7ish months too makes it sketch too.
Frontier is the absolute farking worst. I went on a trip last spring and had two checked bags for my wife and I. we arrived over two hours before our flight. It took over an hour to get through the bag check line, during which frontier staff were pushing people to the front based on their flight time. I asked several times "hey I am on X flight, I am worried I will not be able to check my bag in time. Is this the right line? Should i be expedited?"
Got to the front, and low and behold they couldn't get me on (58 minutes until flight). Only option was to rebook to a city 4 hours away, and get a rental. They offered no refund at the counter/credit for the original flight, and added "counter assistance" booking fees for each of our tickets. I was livid, but had no choice as this was a vacation and I couldn't cancel the whole thing. The hilarious part is the counter agent took so damn long that it was now less than an hour to the second flight, but she was able to call someone and get the bags on. Wouldn't it have been nice to do that in the first place?
Walked by my original flight before boarding started. Bullshit.
Reached out to support after who offered 2x $50 vouchers...
Never again will i fly frontier. fark them to friday and back.
American express took care of me thankfully.
the only that recently had a status match FROM frontier is spirit which makes sense, budget carrier to budget carrier. i'll keep an eye out and will post new info once i see something. other budget carriers in north america are avelo, allegiant, sun country, west jet, breeze. if you are close to one of those hubs, it might be worth checking out.

I created SW account yesterday and was rejected by Frontier. What's going on? The terms say SW account needed to be created before 4/16 (yesterday). When did you create your account again?
Just typical IT bugs especially for the non-tech companies.
U can try again but don't have any expectations.
When things go right, Frontier is usually the cheapest non-Spirit flight and also the cheapest upgrade to wide comfy seats up front. But I've had my share of horrible experiences with them. A lot more often than any other airline including Spirit Air. Not once, but a couple of times, I had my flight canceled right after getting past TSA (couple of hours before my flight was supposed to leave). No explanation, just "your flight has been cancelled, here's your refund". That left me with no option other than to book a last minute flight with another airline paying 3x-5x more. I swore never to fly them again, but it's so tempting when you see those fares that are sometimes half of what Delta charges. I just signed up for the offer 😞
been flying frontier since 2015 even tho if I had a $1 for every single time they GYBBED me I would be rich for generations. I will rack up points like crazy with the 14x
Frontier has it's own space, and it does good at it.
If you have no bags, and book at deal times, price can re ridiculously cheap.
For me, Frontier was more reliable than southwest. (about 10 flights)
However, they might not have good time slots and flexibility.
Does Priority Customer Care include a phone number or do they still chat with you on Whatsapp?..... support via WhatsApp Frontier is the worst at CS and nickel and dime for everything!

Last minute pricing can't be topped in my experience these past few years atl-san
I've taken ~50 to 100 roundtrip flights on Frontier. It's the Walmart of the skies, so you just gotta know what you're signing up for.
The obvious sell is their cheap fares. I used to (within the past decade) fly Austin to Vegas for literally 19 bucks each way. Also, uh...hmmm...yeah that's it for pros.
On the downside, they nickel & dime for EVERYTHING (pro tip: request a plastic cup of water for FREEEEEEE)
Awful customer service which--like the peeps at Walmart--they're probably being paid a relatively low wage so I mostly don't hold it against the individual employees. Use the app for as much as you can, so that you don't have to interact with Frontier employees, and then on the flight itself I try to just close my eyes from wheels up to down. And just *hope* you never need to contact Frontier via phone.
Cancellations happen, and if it happens the limited number of Frontier flights makes it a miserable scenario. Out of my 50-100 Frontier trips, I've had 3 cancellations. "Luckily" two were on my initial flight so I had a little more flexibility to either just cancel my trip (from home) or make other arrangements. But on one morning of my return trip home, they canceled a couple hours before early AM departure, so we were stranded at the airport figuring out how to get home, with only options paying a ridiculous same-day rate on a different airline. Pretty terrible feeling, and I gave back a decent chunk of the bucks I'd saved from using Frontier on other trips.
As others have said, I keep going back cuz it's so dang cheap, especially if you have flexible travel dates and can scout out their really low fares, e.g. still ~100 bucks roundtrip from Austin to Vegas... but that requires me to use a free "personal item" which is my decent size backpack that just fits their increasingly strict requirements. (hello, $40 elite gold status)
I can't recommend Frontier. Full stop. But this is slickdeals, so if you know the rules & go into it eyes wide open, there's $$ to be saved.

My last three experiences with Frontier have been great. Direct flights, on-time and, if you respect the size limitations of the bag, then there is nothing to be surprised of.
