For cutting overhead tree branches and small limbs, yes. But this hedge trimmer style tool is better for clearing out brushy areas with vines and whatnot, especially with the adjustable angle head. Depends on the job at hand.

I've been eyeballing the Ryobi expand-it hedge trimmer attachment. this is the same price but it's an entire unit and separate battery system. hard choice.

20v isn't enough power. This is a toy. You'll need 40v or more for any real work.
