Now a fun fact:

Back in 1957, the Whopper was $0.37 and the minimum wage was $1.00. Today, it would be $2.6825 on $7.25/hr.
In my area, a Whopper sells for $5.49. If others are getting it at this price, that would mean $2.745 without sales tax. What would it be in your area? Just think.

Also, one can use this to get 400 bonus points by satisfying the current challenge, 3 purchases of $5+ by 04/30.

Color me surprised to find out a whopper at my location is $7.89! No wonder there's never anybody there.

edit: All other locations I checked in the metro area are only $5.89 Frown

With your inflation calculation, it would be $7.40 at $20/hr.here in LA. Menu says $7.99 so close.

I go Federal and State because it is more averaged. In California, the wage according to Google is $16.50. So basically, divide $16.50/7.25 and then use that factor to multiply the price of the Whopper as calculated against $7.25/hr.
If you make $20/hr., it just means you can buffer more in your budget. If you live in a city that is higher than the average, again, it just means you can buffer more.

The Whopper is overpriced. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. On the contrary, the hamburger is priced just right and NO ONE wants to state anything about how that is overpriced, because it is not. There would be no argument of inflation if people went by the hamburger.

$15.49/hr./$7.25 = $2.1366 x 2.6825 = $5.74 worst case scenario. Man is it overpriced!

Crazy how I was the first one to post it (today). Usually my finds get merged because someone else beats me to it.

If you get the McDonald's one, buy one Double Cheeseburger or 6 piece Mcnugget and get either one free; although, a Whopper would be like McDonald's Quarter Pounder. That one is also daily.
