I double on this model, since having flat feet with planters fasciitis and not able to walk straight without pain. These have made my life livable again.

Going to get another pair

When you get older you soon realize comfort is far more important. FWIW, I actually like the way Hokas look. The first time someone donned on a pair of sneakers in the 40's I'm sure a lot of folks thought they were ugly too. That being said, Cybertrucks will always be ugly.

I always thought the Hoka Gaviota line was for flat feet.

My podiatrist recommended the Bondi for flat feet as well. I've had a pair of 7s for a few years now that need replacing but they've done the trick for me too.

these things are so ugly and off putting to me. everytime i see someone wearing them it makes me think of Kramers "special" shoes

I'm a runner and i usually retire running shoes after 4/500 miles.
When i tried bondi 7 i really liked them and put 500 miles before retiring them and then i bought bondi 8 which i stopped running in them only after a week.
They're definitely a bad upgrade from bondi 7 at least for me cause they're firmer, bulkier and look extremely big at size 10 even in black color.
I might try the clifton 10 if i ever go with hoka again but not bondis.
