So no Switch 2 compatibility?
What's the difference between extreme, express, and regular?

Nintendo Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards.

Card needs an "EX" on it.

The Switch 2 wants Express for storage expansion for bootable titles, but you can use regular micro SD cards for holding additional data.

The only difference is whether you want to transfer titles back and forth as needed or just boot them directly.

It will still take regular micro SD cards, but it won't boot games from them.

"You can use this one - but only for save data"

The hell's the point. Just get an EX card.

The point is EX cards cost nearly twice as much and aren't a hard requirement as you inaccurately pointed out.

Nobody is buying SD cards for just the save files. Dying on that hill is just pedantic behavior. It's ok. You're right. It'll work. Just not for the most likely intended use of expanding your storage for your games.

Sorry, but I don't see the point of providing misinformation. Maybe you could try not doing that.

Did you consider the possibility that people might not want to have to immediately buy a new 1TB card if their current one for Switch still works?

The 1TB EX card is almost $200.

And again, it will store the games, it just won't boot most of them. Legacy titles and NSO emulators will run from SD.
