Here's everything you need to know about Google Fi's Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 deal, whether you're paying upfront or financing. I also include credit pull details and monthly costs so you can decide if it's right for you.

Google Fi Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 Promo – Full Breakdown (With and Without Financing)

---

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Pixel 9 Pro

$300 off instantly

Remaining $699 credited back over 24 months

Pixel Watch 3

$100 off via promo code (after phone ships)

Remaining $349 credited back over 24 months

Total Monthly Credits:
$29.12 (Pixel 9 Pro) + $14.54 (Watch 3) = $43.66/month

---

GOOGLE FI PLAN:

Unlimited Essentials Plan: $35/month

You must keep the line active and in good standing for 24 months to get all credits

---

OPTION A – PAY UPFRONT (NO HARD CREDIT PULL)

At Checkout:

Pay $699 for Pixel 9 Pro (after $300 discount)

Pay $349 for Pixel Watch 3 (after $100 discount)

Pay sales tax upfront on both

No financing, so NO hard credit check

Each Month (for 24 months):

Plan: $35

Credit: $43.66

Result: Your plan is fully covered and you get ~$8.66 extra per month, which can be used toward taxes or other fees (but doesn't roll over or get refunded)

Best for: People avoiding a credit check and okay paying upfront

---

OPTION B – FINANCE THE DEVICES (HARD CREDIT PULL REQUIRED)

At Checkout:

Pay $0 for the devices (except taxes)

Finance Pixel 9 Pro ($29.12/mo)

Finance Pixel Watch 3 ($14.54/mo)

This triggers a HARD credit pull

Each Month (for 24 months):

Plan: $35

Devices: $43.66

Credit: $43.66

Result: You still just pay $35/month total — credits cancel out the device payments

Best for: People who prefer monthly payments and don't mind a hard inquiry

---

AFTER 24 MONTHS:

You own both devices

Bill credits stop

You continue paying for the Google Fi plan ($35/mo unless changed)

Any leftover credit in a month does not carry over or get refunded

---

TL;DR:

You can avoid a hard credit pull only if you pay for BOTH the phone and watch upfront

You'll still get $43.66/month in credits, which more than covers the $35/mo plan

Any extra credit each month can only be used that month, no rollovers or payouts

Financing either device = hard pull

Just curious, if you take advantage of both the phone and watch offers, the up front cost (after discounts) is $1050 ($700 for the 9 Pro phone + $350 for the Pixel Watch) . ($1050 / 24 months) = $43.75. If the plan is $35 a month, are they sending you a check for $8.35 each month? I suspect hidden fees and taxes consume the remaining $8.35, but I can't imagine you would be paying much after credits. So you would be paying for the phone and watch and basically getting service for 2 years for "free". No clue if this is a deal.

Maybe I should leave Fi so that later I can actually take advantage of deals like this... They used to take good care of their current customers
That's the reason I left after a year almost two years ago, but I never returned to Fi with my five lines, just jumped from one carrier deal to another. We rarely need ten gigs per line, let alone 35+, so it didn't make sense unless we got a good enough phone deal.

Honestly, if this deal had come up 3-4 months ago, I'd probably have jumped back to Fi, but we're on 3 annual InfiMobile plans for less than $10/month and another couple annual US Mobile plans for $17.50/month, less than 4 months in, so not worth it to leave.

been with Fi for years on the Flexible plan for $20/mo. i'm on WiFi most of the time so with taxes, my bill is usually $30 or so. when I travel, the phone works right after landing and the data cost the same at $10/GB. very convenient.
this deal works with the Flex plan and adding a new line = new user, which qualifies for the promo. finance it and the bill credits just cancel out the monthly payment. excellent deal.

I would say the cost of Gemini advanced isn't worth when considered all free options available. I do pay but that's of my use case.

not sure if anyone has noticed this term. How strictly are they going to monitor "changing device". Does it mean if you switch phone for like 10 minutes, within the first 120 days, Google Fi will immediately charge back your instant discounts? this is a weird term, and was never in the previous statement credit deals. In fact, I just looked up the one I did for the Pixel 7, and there is no such language in that deal.
"Changing devices before 120 days invalidates instant discount and cancellation or pause of Fi plan before 24 months will void promotion and credits will stop and outstanding financing, "

This seems like just an okay deal. Google Fi is overpriced for what you get and many people (like myself) are happy with a $15/month flat-rate plan somewhere else. That means the phone and watch together end up being $550-600 total (depending on taxes and fees) after 24 months.

I don't need or want the watch. What's the resale value on it? $150? So the P9P ends up being about $400-450 out of pocket, but you're locked into a contract for 2 years.

This is probably a much better deal for people who are fine paying $30+ per month for cell service, and who would find value in an expensive smart watch. Feel free to TD my post for not slobbering all over this deal, I'm just doing the math for other people like me.

All their plans are so expensive. I'm paying $20/mo with Mint and only want the 15GB they give me at that level.
For y'all that think this is overpriced, what must you think of Verizon's $80, $90 and over $100 plans?

Usmobile is $25mo for 70gb att, or 35gb T-Mobile or Verizon. Or $19mo with promo RN if pay annually. They have pixels discounted for a few hundred off.
US Mobile doesn't give you a free watch, and you'd have to pay for the watch plan. Also they're only discounting the 9, not the 9 Pro.

It does seem like that's what they'd do. They've had similar terms before for the instant discount promos. Plenty of comments/warnings in old threads to 'never put your Fi SIM in another device until the promo is complete'.

Hmm - Im on the $10 per month TMobile plan which is good enough for me. I have Pixel 7 and looking to upgrade. What this offer is saying if I move to Google Fi - I will get Pixel 9 Pro for "free" over 24 months but it will cost me $(35-10)*24 = $600 + taxes additional basically

Need to think
Everyone seems to be overlooking that you also get a free watch with free service.

Think the cons are too much for me to make it worthwhile
1.Hard credit pull which I can use to open another credit card and get a promo offer while increasing my credit lines
2.T mobile which is not bad but not as good as verizon (best) or att (better)
3.No tethering which comes in handy occasionally
4.Only 35gb of data, sometimes I use a lot more
5.Still have a couple months prepaid from the visible+ yearly plan
6.Taxes and fees not included
7.Not sure if I would like the watch or phone vs my s21 and galaxy gear watch to be locked in for 2 years

No need to spend money or port to a real cell line to keep your Google Voice number active. I keep my Google Voice number active by sending a text to and from the number every month. I just set a reminder/notification on my calendar at the beginning of the month, so I don't forget.

I've missed it by a few days once or twice and haven't had my Google Voice number deactivated, yet. And I've had this number since the Grand Central days.

It might work with a phone call, too, but I just use a text because it's easier.
No. It's that Google has arbitrary, unstated rules on keeping numbers, and they periodically turn mine off for no clear reason and with no recourse other than begging them to turn it back on.

Since the phone is unlocked, is it possible to add an eSIM or a physical SIM from a different carrier and keep both active in the phone? According to a Reddit post I found from a year ago, it seems there's no issue—users have reported that it works fine.

Sorry fi, mint is significantly cheaper at $18/month with 5gb of data. Does Fi still do that crap where you pay $10 for 1 GB of data?
