Here's everything you need to know about Google Fi's Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 deal, whether you're paying upfront or financing. I also include credit pull details and monthly costs so you can decide if it's right for you.
Google Fi Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 Promo – Full Breakdown (With and Without Financing)
You must keep the line active and in good standing for 24 months to get all credits
---
OPTION A – PAY UPFRONT (NO HARD CREDIT PULL)
At Checkout:
Pay $699 for Pixel 9 Pro (after $300 discount)
Pay $349 for Pixel Watch 3 (after $100 discount)
Pay sales tax upfront on both
No financing, so NO hard credit check
Each Month (for 24 months):
Plan: $35
Credit: $43.66
Result: Your plan is fully covered and you get ~$8.66 extra per month, which can be used toward taxes or other fees (but doesn't roll over or get refunded)
Best for: People avoiding a credit check and okay paying upfront
---
OPTION B – FINANCE THE DEVICES (HARD CREDIT PULL REQUIRED)
At Checkout:
Pay $0 for the devices (except taxes)
Finance Pixel 9 Pro ($29.12/mo)
Finance Pixel Watch 3 ($14.54/mo)
This triggers a HARD credit pull
Each Month (for 24 months):
Plan: $35
Devices: $43.66
Credit: $43.66
Result: You still just pay $35/month total — credits cancel out the device payments
Best for: People who prefer monthly payments and don't mind a hard inquiry
---
AFTER 24 MONTHS:
You own both devices
Bill credits stop
You continue paying for the Google Fi plan ($35/mo unless changed)
Any leftover credit in a month does not carry over or get refunded
---
TL;DR:
You can avoid a hard credit pull only if you pay for BOTH the phone and watch upfront
You'll still get $43.66/month in credits, which more than covers the $35/mo plan
Any extra credit each month can only be used that month, no rollovers or payouts
Just curious, if you take advantage of both the phone and watch offers, the up front cost (after discounts) is $1050 ($700 for the 9 Pro phone + $350 for the Pixel Watch) . ($1050 / 24 months) = $43.75. If the plan is $35 a month, are they sending you a check for $8.35 each month? I suspect hidden fees and taxes consume the remaining $8.35, but I can't imagine you would be paying much after credits. So you would be paying for the phone and watch and basically getting service for 2 years for "free". No clue if this is a deal.
Get $300 off instantly and the remaining $699 back over 24 monthly credits on a Google Pixel 9 Pro purchase from fi.google.com.
After the phone ships, we'll email you a code (within 24 hours) for Pixel Watch 3 to get $100 off instantly and $349.99 back over 24 monthly credits.
Offer is available until 4/29/25 at 9:59 AM PT, or while supplies last. Pixel Watch 3 promotional code must be used at fi.google.com and presented at checkout, and is valid until 5/13/25 at 9:59 AM PT. Phone and watch activation for monthly bill credits required by 30 days of shipment confirmation and must be active 24 months to get full value of the promotion.
I just ordered this after chatting with support. You can still get this promotion with the basic $20/month plan which also includes the watch's data. So your out of pocket for the phone and watch is $480 + taxes over two years. After 120 days the SIM/service can be moved to another phone and this phone can be used with your other number with unlimited data. After switching to another phone after 120 days, the credits will continue to post for up to 24 months. At which point you can cancel the Fi number. Not sure if it's a slick deal, but it's a good enough deal for a new phone if you need one before tariffs kick in.
So can I use my Google voice line for the new activation, and then after 120 days, transfer the Fi service to an old phone, and then be free to use whatever service I want on the Pixel Pro?
So can I use my Google voice line for the new activation or maybe just get a new phone number with Fi, and then after 120 days, transfer the Fi service to an old phone and keep the Fi service active for 24 months on that line, and then be free to use whatever service I want on the Pixel Pro?
How about if I just activate the service on another phone (not the Pixel 9 pro), and then in 120 days, activate the Pixel 9 pro on my desired carrier. But I'll still keep the Google Fi plan for 24 months on a spare phone. Or does the deal require that the Google Fi plan go to the Pixel pro?
If you read the terms of the offer, it should give you all the info. But yes, the 9 Pro has to be activated on the Fi plan, and you have the keep the Fi SIM in the 9 Pro for 120 days. After the 120 days are up, you can do whatever you want with the phone, but you have to keep the plan active in order to keep getting the bill credits.
Some people were confused on whether or not they can sell the watch so I asked Grok and you have to activate both on the Fi Plan for 120 days. Don't sell the watch when you get it!
I wanted to bite so badly, but after deep diving for two days, it turns out Google Fi is awful with customer service, they sometimes don't honor promo deals, and if you try to complain, they (supposedly) will lock your google accounts. Absolutely not worth the risk to me. I'm with Verizon 15gb for $35/mo and this would have been a no-brainer for me otherwise but go take a look at the Google Fi subreddit and you'll see pretty quickly why this is a no-go.

My order has just shipped, and I received the code for the Pixel Watch. I chose the 45mm model and only had to pay $33 in taxes upfront. The $50 difference will be charged on my Fi bill.

Anyone sure how this works with trade in's? Do we just end up getting a higher credit monthly back later on since the initial amount is lower? I.E. is the refund for a phone/watch trade in being refunded and deducted from the service monthly?
