Here's everything you need to know about Google Fi's Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 deal, whether you're paying upfront or financing. I also include credit pull details and monthly costs so you can decide if it's right for you.

Google Fi Pixel 9 Pro + Pixel Watch 3 Promo – Full Breakdown (With and Without Financing)

---

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

Pixel 9 Pro

$300 off instantly

Remaining $699 credited back over 24 months

Pixel Watch 3

$100 off via promo code (after phone ships)

Remaining $349 credited back over 24 months

Total Monthly Credits:
$29.12 (Pixel 9 Pro) + $14.54 (Watch 3) = $43.66/month

---

GOOGLE FI PLAN:

Unlimited Essentials Plan: $35/month

You must keep the line active and in good standing for 24 months to get all credits

---

OPTION A – PAY UPFRONT (NO HARD CREDIT PULL)

At Checkout:

Pay $699 for Pixel 9 Pro (after $300 discount)

Pay $349 for Pixel Watch 3 (after $100 discount)

Pay sales tax upfront on both

No financing, so NO hard credit check

Each Month (for 24 months):

Plan: $35

Credit: $43.66

Result: Your plan is fully covered and you get ~$8.66 extra per month, which can be used toward taxes or other fees (but doesn't roll over or get refunded)

Best for: People avoiding a credit check and okay paying upfront

---

OPTION B – FINANCE THE DEVICES (HARD CREDIT PULL REQUIRED)

At Checkout:

Pay $0 for the devices (except taxes)

Finance Pixel 9 Pro ($29.12/mo)

Finance Pixel Watch 3 ($14.54/mo)

This triggers a HARD credit pull

Each Month (for 24 months):

Plan: $35

Devices: $43.66

Credit: $43.66

Result: You still just pay $35/month total — credits cancel out the device payments

Best for: People who prefer monthly payments and don't mind a hard inquiry

---

AFTER 24 MONTHS:

You own both devices

Bill credits stop

You continue paying for the Google Fi plan ($35/mo unless changed)

Any leftover credit in a month does not carry over or get refunded

---

TL;DR:

You can avoid a hard credit pull only if you pay for BOTH the phone and watch upfront

You'll still get $43.66/month in credits, which more than covers the $35/mo plan

Any extra credit each month can only be used that month, no rollovers or payouts

Financing either device = hard pull

Just curious, if you take advantage of both the phone and watch offers, the up front cost (after discounts) is $1050 ($700 for the 9 Pro phone + $350 for the Pixel Watch) . ($1050 / 24 months) = $43.75. If the plan is $35 a month, are they sending you a check for $8.35 each month? I suspect hidden fees and taxes consume the remaining $8.35, but I can't imagine you would be paying much after credits. So you would be paying for the phone and watch and basically getting service for 2 years for "free". No clue if this is a deal.

It's a good deal if you're into the Google ecosystem but the fi customer service is fairly useless in my experience and do not seem to have any ability to fix promo errors and issues that arise.
I had CS be downright rude to me, a top 3 in my life when charging me roaming to Canada. In general any interaction I have had with Google CS (Fi, Pixel, WS) has be negative, a reason why Google doesn't get a penny from me and I run my own search servers so they don't get ad revenue either. Yes they pissed me off that much.... Its a shame I really like their phones but now I have a Sammy.

Alright, well, I may have to re-think this deal. I was against it at first, until I signed up for the 7d trial to test it out on my current phone (pixel 7) -- and wow what a difference compared to Verizon. Verizon 5G in-city gets 28Mb/s -- Google Fi (no idea what tower/provider they're using) got 672 Mbps down 58 Mbps up which translates to 84Mb/s down and 7.25Mb/s up.. Which is pretty insane. Also where I live (out of city) Verizon gets 0.8 Mbps down (almost unusable) where Google Fi is giving 12 Mbps down. With that considered, I'm moving over to Google Fi. It's the same price I pay now ($35/mo for 15gb with Verizon) for 50gb with Fi? no brainer. I'm glad they have that 7d trial, without it I would have never reconsidered.

Link for trial (no SIM needed, uses an eSIM and lets you swap between your current carrier than fi for specific things (calls/sms/data) which makes it even better/easier to test out:
https://fi.google.com/about/free-trial

The only thing that concerns me still, after talking with a customer rep: Return window is only 15d and does not include "if you're not happy, no questions asked" type stuff. It has to be due to very specific circumstances for them to accept a return (it being faulty, doa, etc). So you better be sure about the commitment before you buy because if you change your mind "just because" within 15d you're SOL.

Crazy that Verizon's supposed to have the largest coverage and they don't. Map says my whole area is 5G covered and it's a lie because it's a deadzone where I'm at. I'm very picky with what I get because I'm cheap, lol. I usually wait around for the best deal I can get, and I decided to bite on this deal. Free top of the line phone and matching smartwatch, just pay $20-$35 monthly for the service, which I was already paying more than that with T-Mobile's assholes raising prices. I was with Sprint SERO for years at $35 a month unlimited everything including Hulu and Tidal, then T-Mobile had to take over and promised loyal Sprint customers that they wouldn't raise prices or change their plans, well they lied on both counts. T-Mobile has been nothing but a headache. Sprint was the best, never had a problem with them. Damn I miss them.

Did you happen to use anyone's referral link for the additional $60 credit -- my only confusion right now is "how does this benefit me" as the credit they provide cancels out the bill so to speak (I plan to pay up front, get some cashback on it w/ a 0% APR card and knock it down every paycheck, better to take the hit on utilization over a hard inquiry. Sure it's only $21 cashback, but I'll take it at 2%). So if you use a referral code, it gives you $60 more credit, but since you won't "need" that credit for your bill, it only helps on ... taxs/e911 fees I suppose? or ... errr .. yeah .. no idea.

I have my mother on my Verizon plan w/ the $10/mo per line discount, so after 2 years if Fi is more expensive I'll just move back over and pick back up on that discount/deal w/ the Pixel 9.

--- Unrelated Ramble ----
I too have felt the wrath of "we promise we'll do something and then we don't" with service providers. I was locked in to a $35/mo 400Mbps internet plan that was labeled as "For Life" -- I moved, they claimed the area didn't have 400Mbps and they had to drop me down to 300Mbps which got me out of that for life pricing, literally two days after moving and setting up the internet, they email me to upsell a 400Mbps plan ... Then they refused to put me back on the for life pricing, said it was impossible, so I called about 30x and kept complaining and they agreed to give me 500Mbps for $40/m for two years ... which I accepted, and then 1 year later they tried to change the pricing to $60/mo .... I call again, they say oh we fixed it, that lasted one billing cycle then back to $60/mo ... called again, and again, and again, finally got them back down to $40/mo but only after they made it seem like I should be grateful that they made an exception for me ... I hate these companies but they've got us by the junk and they know it.

I wanted to bite so badly, but after deep diving for two days, it turns out Google Fi is awful with customer service, they sometimes don't honor promo deals, and if you try to complain, they (supposedly) will lock your google accounts. Absolutely not worth the risk to me. I'm with Verizon 15gb for $35/mo and this would have been a no-brainer for me otherwise but go take a look at the Google Fi subreddit and you'll see pretty quickly why this is a no-go.
I think you should. Subreddits are made to complain, and I want to put my random anecdote in the thread - been a customer since 2017 when it was called project fi (2 GB data for $40/month haha). In contact with support about 6 times with my problems resolved well. not sure about the complaining or promo deals. I have two other friends who use my "data only sims" (you can add up to 5 to your account for free) to use their phones without having to buy a whole new line and we split the cost. It's the best plan internationally, automatically switching the instant I land in new countries. Only problem for me is 90 days consecutively out of the country got my service turned off, but like they said, after I was back in the USA it was working again.

I went with the financing option and the $20/month plan. A credit pull only impacts your score by about 5 points, so it's not a big deal. I paid $58 in taxes for the phone, which totals $480 over two years (20 × 24 = 480). Now, I'm waiting for the coupon for the Pixel Watch to arrive. I plan to pay an extra $50 for the 45mm version, as it offers better battery life.
Can you update when you get the email. I bought the XL pro and not sure if the watch promo applies to it or only the regular 9 pro. No email yet.

Yeah, I noticed it said you have to activate the watch when I was reading thru T&C. I guess my plan to sell it brand new in box won't work. I might as well wear it for a while and then sell it used (unless I love it).

"Phone and watch activation for monthly bill credits required by 30 days of shipment confirmation and must be active 24 months to get full value of the promotion."

Does that mean the watch has to be active for the full 24 months?

Note for anyone who sees my other post about trying out Fi service with their 7 day trial.

DOING SO MAKES YOU INELIGIBLE FOR THIS DEAL AS IT CONSIDERS YOU AN EXISTING FI CUSTOMER -- Customer support did NOT mention this at all when they recommended I try the 7d trial.

I assume you can work around this by using a separate google account for the order, subscription, etc, but that's not ideal for most people. That's absolutely ridiculous ... and customer support says there's nothing to be done about it.....

Can anyone share how their service is in DFW area - particularly in the office buildings (I use hot spot for work in office)
Tried many different providers (but no fi)but AT&T seems to work best compared to others.

Try the 7 day trial to gauge for yourself, but DO NOT use your real/intended google account to signup for the promotionCreate a new google account, add it to your phone, and use that one to register with Fi for the 7d trial. Otherwise it will render you ineligible for this promotion as it considers you having had service within the last 180 days.

according to the terms it only works on the Pixel Pro. If I were you I would cancel your order. https://fi.google.com/about/promo...NtPQPJ5BNN

If you read the terms of the offer, it should give you all the info. But yes, the 9 Pro has to be activated on the Fi plan, and you have the keep the Fi SIM in the 9 Pro for 120 days. After the 120 days are up, you can do whatever you want with the phone, but you have to keep the plan active in order to keep getting the bill credits.
Thanks you for the clarity!
