People say these are too expensive even at this price point but for me it was worth it. With the addition on the correct adapter like this I was able to run my 12v fridge. Which was invaluable to me

Love to hear the ideas of how people are using this (fridge and soldering iron I'd not thought ot). Makes the price a bit more justifiable...

Still would like to see this a few bucks lower but it's getting into tempting territory for use with my Pinecil. Really wish they'd sell just the clip by itself instead of with a cable and lower power USBC PD block I don't need.

I wish Milwaukee offered one of these. Would be nice to have the option to charge batteries with USB-C rather than having to pack/carry one of the typical 'chunky' chargers that require AC power.

Lower the damn thing to $30, and you'll see the people buy it. Until then, only a niche item that no one will buy.

I saw one for $40 at my local fb marketplace. Wondering should I grab one for $40 and return the Ridgid one that I bought from hd for $70

They do for M12 at least (comes with the new model jackets, I assume it can be bought separately somehow). Limited to 15w either way though apparently so it's pretty slow, but nice for things like being out of town if I need limited tool use or jacket use and can spare the time to charge.

Bought this at almost full price over a year ago ($85). Don't use it much but when I do it's extremely helpful. Mainly use it for laptops and occasionally charging phones.
If you are already in the DeWalt eco system then it makes sense to use your existing batteries as big power banks. If you're not then don't bother. Plus I bring it when I do work at friends houses but bring my own tools so I don't have to bring a full size charger which saves space and weight. It's definitely more of a "want" purchase then a need but I feel I got my moneys worth. Wouldn't think twice at $65, again if you already have a lot of DeWalt batteries and tools.

Practically, usb c can be converted to any dc voltage with adapters. Check the output voltage of any power supply then find a USB c adapter for it, and boom, the dewalt battery makes it portable. Portable heating vest is what I made.

Can you convert the USB charger using adapter for 220v?

Please don't ever work with electricity. Just kidding, but seriously no, this cannot be made to take in, nor put out 220AC...

This unit on amazon is actually really nice, has low voltage cutoff etc. usbc is limited to 30w and it doesn't do charging, but i've taken it apart and the pcb is nice quality.

12V USBC PD isn't an official mode included by a lot of chargers so using the buck converter to a cigarette lighter adapter is probably a better way to go than relying on a 12V PD adapter.

If you have ryobi, this is better than all of the options:

I have also seen references to a parasitic draw on the official dewalt model and it will kill batteries if left attached for long periods.

This ryobi thing is awesome!
