At this point you can easily get a used EcoTank for the same money off Craigslist or Facebook. Those last eons and will pay off with ink savings.
Just buy an EcoTank with a Maintenance Box. Check the specs. Some old EcoTanks use diaper pads instead of a maintenance box. Those require special apps to reset the printer service life.
The box looks like an ink cartridge, but lasts 10x as long and only costs $15 to $20, and you can even wash and reset them.
