This is a great grinder for the price. I had this exact model for about 8 years, grinding beans almost every day. A number of parts and pieces are plastic, so if you want something which is going to run strong for over a decade, I would look at something like the Baratza Encore, which I just upgraded to in recent months. The old Bodum does still work, but it's getting louder and slower, so we chose something with serviceable parts to replace it.

I was interested, but the reviews on Amazon are pretty spotty.

This is one of my many coffee grinders. Its excellent and my go to for drip and french press. I have others for espresso.

I had this for years before upgrading to the baratza encore esp. I gave it to a friend since it wouldn't break. It's great for the price. Although a little [moderately] loud and gets a little messy. Honestly, the encore produces some mess too but it's quieter and more consistent grind.

Highly recommend this. If you have complaints, you'll need to spend ~$150+ to reduce not fix those complaints.

Don't buy this for espresso though.

Do not buy this 😤, it's a waste of money. I bought one and it only lasted a month. Customer service refused to honor the warranty. Terrible company

If you have an electric drill, you can just get a good quality stainless steel manual burr grinder like the Timemore C2 (Was under $50 when I got it but $70 on Amazon now) or this generic one https://a.co/d/g6eTu99

I've been using it for about 4 years now with my electric drill and put it to use every other day. It's extremely clean with no mess whenever I use it with my aeropress but could also be used with drip or for an espresso machine.

I've had this for like 7 years and it's still running great. For $50 it's a no-brainer for a decent espresso grind and great rougher grind for cold brew or french press.
